Another Rushden in the making. Once those funding it lose interest it will fall like a deck of cards. I give them 10 years if that. (And I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will remind me of this.) I may be barking up the wrong tree, butI suspect that certain people look favourably on Salford because of who the owners are. wrong tree indeed, this is where the thread started to go sour

I know, not good choice, but derby haven't got a lot of time, I'd grin and bear Ashley for the sake of stopping in championship, it's a no brainer really.unless there are other choices🤔🤔

If I was a Derby fan I'd be begging for Mike Ashley, he's exactly what they need.

If I was a Derby fan I'd be begging for Mike Ashley, he's exactly what they need. The problem is a lot of Derby fans won't want a owner to come in, get the club on a good financial position, provide stability and secure the clubs long term future (like Roland did with us many years ago) They will want a owner who spends money, gets them back into the the Championship with an aim to get into the Premier League. It's a ridiculous concept considering they are facing liquidation, but that is the reality of modern football and I guarantee that the majority of fans in this country would want the same. I do think Derby will be saved, the FA/Football League will do everything in their power to save them as a club of their size being liquidated would be a huge embarrassment for them.

Correct on all aspects of your post.

How many times do we keep coming across potential buyers of football clubs who effectively don't have the cash to buy and fund a club properly. - Mr Kirchner clearly doesn't have the lolly and has wasted a lot of peoples time.
Derby could do a lot worse than accept an offer from Mr Ashley

Never been a huge fan of his but I cant blame him at all in moving on. A complete basket case of an organisation at present and pretty much any other club has to be a better bet at present.

He must have something in the pipeline🤔🤔 If he hasn't got something lined up then he must have met this Clownes guy and decided that he can't work with him

You just have to hope that a long term supporter of the club will actually benefit them in the long term.
No one wants to see any club become the next Bury.
Hope they get through the next few years and prosper at whatever level they are at.

A complete basket case of an organisation at present and pretty much any other club has to be a better bet at present. maybe you can blame him for moving on, especially if him and his agent were trying desperately to get a dodgy Chris Kirchner deal over the line which would have got them a nice backhander and very likely ended in disaster for derby. Shame for Rooney as he did so much good for derby

Some of their fans seem to be wetting themselves over the Mendez-Laing signing. They must see something in him that I have never seen.
