How do players that have not even completed one year of a two or three year contract, go about walking in the summer? Unless it suits us of course. Perhaps Jon Nolan could answer that, and I don't think that suited us either. BUT, he was only allowed to leave when the snake agreed to match our valuation, otherwise he would have been here until such time as we, as a club, were prepared to allow him to leave and not necessarily to his choice of club if someone else matched our valuation.

After being pictured in a Salop Xmas jumper recently I wonder if there have been enquiries made about a certain Jack Price - not such a daft suggestion as it may seem if some of the whispers are to be noted

Indeed. And it wouldn't surprise me if he starts banging in the goals again if he goes there. We just haven't played to his strengths this season at all.

Doncaster on loan is the whisper Disappointing if true. Agree to an extent, but he’s hardly been firing this season and his contract is up in the summer. Better the cash in on some money now rather than let him go on a free if we don’t renew/doesn’t accept a new contract. Thats hoping we sell of course.

He’s not a striker but a central midfielder with links to both Ricketts & Shrewsbury - whispers are there are offers on the table for both him and Docherty, the club are obviously hoping one of them accepts www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=64648

Maybe its because he was born in Shrewsbury?

My mate who is a Donny fan just messaged me.
Said there is a rumour at their end that they are supposedly signing a striker from us who refuses to play anymore.
Might just be a rumour but got to be Okenhibirie if any truth in it.

Ultimately it needs to be judged by who he is replaced with, but whoever that is will probably struggle in our system and Fey will probably do much better playing for another team who actually try to have a go.

Well, Adam Henshall probably knows better than Ricketts as to what system best suits Fejiri. Not only that, he is likely to have been instrumental with regards to his signing by us.
If Doncaster want Fejiri, you can be certain he'll have given the appropriate advice to their management team.

if fey, who was linked with a million pound plus move a year ago, goes to doncaster on loan that's going to go down very badly with a lot of people

Worrying stuff if the fejiri gossip is true.
Similarities to the Eisa departure. A clearly talented player who doesn’t fit ricketts system being allowed to leave.
I’d love to see us try fejiri up front with udoh for a few games. I think it could work.

Anyone else beginning to get the impression that it's 'my way or the highway' with SR?
The entire backroom staff replaced, Sadler moved on rather than given a position at the Club, and only Whalley, Beckles, Norburn, Laurent and one or two of the youth team players left from previous regimes. LJL (almost certainly) and Fejiri (very likely) to be out of the door fairly soon.
Now admittedly we had some dead wood to shift, but to not have one member of the backroom staff SR inherited still in place seems surprising. And for SR to state that Henshall doesn't need to be replaced, but he'll rely on contacts instead is at the very least questionable.

Well if Fejeri goes to Doncaster and gets say ten in fifteen after scoring none here then Ricketts needs to take a long hard look at himself. You get the feeling that he will not adjust anything in his defensive plans to make us more of an attacking proposition. We have our top scorer on three, we have scored less than anyone and a lad who looked decent a while back is going out out on loan because Ricketts won't play to his strength. Now I see why Morrison thought I'm off as well.

However last January he was our top scorer and we were in a relegation battle. Unfortunately for Fey now he doesn't fit the system. Even with 2 up front for me he'd be at best 3rd choice. He's not got the work rate of Lang nor the same ability to fashion a chance as Cummings. Udoh probably gets the nod due to work rate too (plus he's a Ricketts signing). His best scoring run (unless I'm mistaken) was October/November last year when he was up front playing off a target man (Holloway), which we haven't got, and I think we need, at present.

Seems as though the squad is desperate for an experienced Steve Morrison type target man unfortunately.
