I hope January will be fairly quiet for us. We're improving steadily and don't need a lot of disruption.

he's looks less likely to leave the Dartmoor area than John Haigh did

GK and Defence is sorted, maybe look at cover for Donald at RWB. CM’s got a load of options, would probably send McCormick back. Up front, we have Cummings, Udoh, Okenabirhie and Lang is also nearing a return to fitness.

Not surprised Laurent is attracting attention, good on the ball, great engine, strong, amazing some of our own football sages failed to spot this a couple of months back, when he was unjustly singled out. He would be gone down the road with Ricketts if some had their way. I hope he stays as he is a lynchpin for us at the moment, and dare I say it more consistent than Docherty was for us.

Yeah tend to agree, there is no real weak link or obvious area to replace. People will call out the lack of goals but up front we will have Cummings, Fejiri, Udoh & Lang, plus Whalley can play off the one striker (not to mention LJL who I hope to see released)
I'd personally say a goalscoring midfielder is something which would improve the team but I don't want this to turn into another thread about a certain former loan player, especially as I think we have little chance of him signing for us. But we already have a number of midifelders so would have to probably offload first, will be interesting to see if Peterborough come back in for Norburn

Heard a bit of transfer news myself, this wasn't something I was told though. Doubt it'll happen but we'll see. Will try and find out!

I think the Chelsea lad needs to go back as it’s unfair on the lad. Not making the bench or getting any game time.
I assume Mr Shop will find himself a new retail location.
Defence is good and plenty of midfield options
Plenty of strikers but non who are scoring. Mr O is ineffective when played as the lone striker, he needs a big target man to play off. Our Scotsman also needs someone alongside. Both lack height and physicality to play one upfront.
We need a Carlton Morris type striker in January

Freeing up some wages is probably the key this window. The shop has to go, no ifs no buts. Pointless McCormick being here.
You'd take a certain player north of the border on loan every day of the week.

I do just have this feeling that SR has LJL in mind as the big target man for others to feed off. Might be wrong but it wouldnt suprise me.

If we make it to the end of the window without any significant losses, then that's good in my opinion. Hopefully we can throw a bit of money at Laurent and keep him!

the priority is the to keep the players we have, whilst we have a number of forwards it would be intresting if we do go for one who offers somthing different. the shop needs to go we have fufiled our duty in getting him back in shape and it would free up some wages.

how much wages do we think the shop is on ?
I'd guess we'd free up as much cash as like when you send your old CDs to music magpie

The last two they sneaked off us havnt exactly helped push them on any further than where they were last season.

A bit disrespectful there now Pilch! not really, just pointing out that the poor lad was probably given a minimal contract just so ensure he got by during his rehabilitation, we'll probably let him go now but it will hardly be freeing up a decent budget

Can see just the basics:
Ryan Sears coming back to give cover for Love + Callum Lang back in attck.
Shop, McCormick and Grant leaving the payroll.

Because he's been a bit better in the last 8 games? Disagree there, his career so far has been very stop start, let's see if he continues to be consistent before we "throw a bit of money" at him.

Can see just the basics: Ryan Sears coming back to give cover for Love. Shop, McCormick and Grant leaving the payroll. I'd hazard a guess that would be £3000+ a week off the wages. I bet The Shop's on £800-1000 a week. Doubt were paying much/anything for McCormick. We know Grant is a high earner though.

You reckon the shop is on that much...? I’m not saying he isn’t, by the way. Just interested. I would of thought we would of offered him that much a month...? We basically paid for him to get better. And he obviously snapped our hand off as he would of been able to earn zero and have to pay for his own rehabilitation. Think it was a great gesture by the club

Would like us to get Beckles, Laurent, and Walker given extensions to their deals - could see Beckles and Laurent leaving for free at the end of the season otherwise.

Docherty in on a permanent signing, with Grigg in on loan until the end of the season.
LJL released on a free and get Grant off our books to free up some wages.
