Have absolutely no idea what Coughlan is on about when it comes to the peno. It's clear their lad pulled Thompson back. Thompson had done him like a kipper, he couldn't keep up and the only thing left for him was to pull him back. You shouldn't be allowed to get away with that. Daft decision be the referee. As for their disallowed goal, touch and go I guess. But one of their lads was very much in an offside position pretty much in the centre of goal and close to Murphy. Respect your view as you may have been able to watch replays? But haven’t heard ‘pull back’ as a reason for the penalty shout or off side for their goal. Difficult at game but mostbehindthe goal were confused stating we had a man on each post..... Any replay about? Just watch it (above) and your right about the pull back but we had a player on or beyond the goal line for their disallowed goal, maybe the referee was correcting his previous harsh decision? One of the men on the post actually fell into the goal trying to clear it so I'm not sure how it could have been offside.

From what I recall there was the keeper and the defender and sandwiched in-between was a Bristol player. However, there may have been another Town player along the goal line playing him on...👍 Crazy, crazy game with what went on...

So is it Ricketts in or Ricketts out this week... so confused Tolerating him as we’re not in a relegation scrap. I know we’re 12th but the style of football being served up is so negative. We had no option but to go for it at 3-1 but I don’t understand us sitting back at 3-3 when we should’ve had the momentum. That’s what is really peeing me off.

We didn't sit back, why do you think we did? Do you think Ricketts was bellowing from the dugout after we scored the third: 'sit back, sit back, everybody back!'. Games ebb and flow, teams have periods of possession and pressure in games, but it doesn't mean the other team sat back.

Regrettably, we DIDN'T sit back at 3-3. I wish we had, having come back from 3-1 down.I'd certainly have taken 3-3 ten minutes from the end, because we were still leaving ourselves open at the back.

I’ve called out Ricketts so many times for negativity & boredom but after a 4 3 scoreline? That’s taking the p**s. Brilliant

Just can’t understand our dreadful defending. Williams, Beckles had absolute shockers. Love had his worst game since joining. Only pluses we’re Laurent, Norburn and Giles. Hopefully Ebanks Landell gets back in next week.

We eventually lost a well earned point because we left the back door open. Everyone was charging forward forgetting about the structure of how we are set up, then hey presto, they knock a long ball, bypassing midfield and leave their wide man one on one with our defender. We got bodies back, but had lost our shape and failed to properly clear the ball when it was bouncing around in our box and paid the penalty. The old way of leaving two back to counter a lone forward still holds good today, but went out of the window because we went gung-ho. Sitting back? I wish.

The owd Salopcast take on the gam. Crazy match were we solved some of the problems we have had and created whole new ones! Classic Salop. We also discuss booing ex players which for Rodman and Ogogo we really struggled to get our heads around... soundcloud.com/salopcast/201920ep18

Yeah very noticeable in the West Stand, hence why we had it as a talking point... crazy for me. Its about 45 mins in I think. Give it a listen. Think it was mainly from Block 19 area.

Personally I find it unfathomable that people will go out of their way to acknowledge/support a former player, whilst heckling and abusing the ones who are currently wearing the blue and amber. I know who I’d rather be giving my support to.
Equally, someone like Jacobson has been an ex-Shrews player for at least five years now, and every time we play Wycombe either home or away he gets treated like a returning hero. Surely once is enough?

A lot depends on the circumstances of their leaving. No one wanted Jacobsen to go except the manager at the time and for me it was a big mistake.
Rodman decided to go despite being offered another contract if I remember rightly - fine his choice. Ogogo - again his choice but I suspect most thought he would stay and a bit of a rum reason from him why.
Rightly or wrongly players leaving when they’ve been offered new contracts can just irritate fans. If they go to a higher league then it’s understandable that they want to move on. When it’s a rival in the same league some fans will always give them a tricky welcome.
Personally if I don’t like the way they left I don’t clap or boo - I just ignore them until the inevitable goal arrived and then I just put my head in my hands!
To sum up - it’s the manner of the leaving rather than the leaving itself.

I lost a bit of respect for Jacobsen at Wycombe when he remonstrating (successfully), with the referee to get one of players sent off. I suspect if it hadn’t been for the reaction of JJ and Fatboy Fat Akinfenwa, Ro-Shaun May have escaped with a finger wagging.

Certainly a game to get the blood pumping but, when May comes, I suspect we'll be looking back on it as a mid-season skirmish between two mid-table teams.
Crap ref though. Or perhaps, for the neutral, it's nice to see there's still room for a pompous, puffed up, Captain Mainwaring-type ref in the modern game.
