Only Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and the mob down at the Biscuit tin have scored fewer goals in the entire football league than Salop Ouch.......... Not sure what the point is here. In context, Season we came 3rd under Hurst, Oldham got relegated scoring only 2 goals less than us.

His player, his team selection, his formation, his tactics. Of course he has to take responsibility. It clearly wasn't working yet he did nothing. He had the power to change things and he didn't. His responsibility. The crowd sang for Whalley and a few minutes later he came on... You want Ricketts to take responsibility for his players not doing what he instructed them to do? When do you think the players should start taking some responsibility? If your boss tells you to do something and you don't do it, you say that's his responsibility, not yours? Players have a privileged enough position as it is - they don't need to be cossetted and treated like children. As for the Whalley thing, he's come on as a substitute regularly enough. It can't have been a surprise to anyone that it happened on Tuesday. If the fans singing his name want to take credit for it, that's up to them but they're only kidding themselves. Try singing for a different player on Saturday and let's see how that goes, eh? So if he picks the same players on Saturday that wasn't doing what he told them too and they perform the same, would that be his responsibility then?

Bit weird that the notion people watch football to be entertained is being mocked. Okay, on one level it's a 'business' - but that would be the entertainment business. Otherwise, we might as well be paying to watch stock-taking in the club shop, or sales at the ticket office. Some seem to take a perverse pride in excusing the most dour football, as if it marks them out as pragmatic and superior to the simple plebs who like to see a few goals. Mulhearn, Gregory, Fellows, Moore, Holton, Bridgwood, Roberts, Moir, Wood, Andrews, Groves. Goals at both ends, and still one of my favourite Town Teams. Now that was a team!

Try singing for a different player on Saturday and let's see how that goes, eh? So if he picks the same players on Saturday that wasn't doing what he told them too and they perform the same, would that be his responsibility then? There's a difference between not performing well and not doing what they're instructed to do. They can follow the game plan to the letter and still play badly. But they have to do the first part, there's no excuse for not doing so and the responsibility for doing that lies with the players. If they do as instructed and the team performance is poor then Ricketts is responsible for that. Again though, players have to take some responsibility if, as on Tuesday, they can't control the ball or play a simple pass to the right place at the right pace. Ultimately, managers are responsible for how their team performs over a season but, from game to game, it's too simplistic to hold the manager responsible for everything that wasn't right and give the players a free pass when they're really at fault. Hopefully the message will have got through after Tuesday and we'll see a bit more energy and intensity tomorrow and fewer basic errors.

People seem to ignore that we play against other teams with the same ideology and beliefs, which essentially means they will cancel each other out sometimes. You can't replicate performances against different teams as there are too many unknowns involved, it isn't FIFA on the Xbox or Football Manager, it is actual human beings, and we all know what they are like as we live and work with them every day.

1 1 at home to Gillingham and a certain minority boo the team, 0 9 at home to Leicester, spare thought for the Saints fans who probably have a good cause to boo.

Did you not see the performance dave Edwards put in tonight ? We already have the perfect man for the job and he looks ready and I fully expect him to start on Saturday Not still booing because Doherty wasn’t in the starting xi are we 🙄 I'd don't generally boo, i just don't clap if i feel the team are under par.
You can't seriously compare and aging Edwards with injury issues to Docherty? Come on, what is Ricketts slipping you to post this nonsense?
I hear you only take your foot out of your mouth to change feet

Preston fans booed their team off at half time yesterday, being 2-0 down to Rovers. Second half scored three and won
What does this tell us about an encouraging boo?
