A few vile vile people have embarrassed themselves on this thread. Fortunately for them, the Swan already knew they were disgraceful imbeciles of the very highest order, so the equilibrium has not shifted. As you were. Talking garbage again Geoffrey

Why thank you Inspector. I've got to admit it, I...... .I'm really touched by those remarks.....it's probably the nicest thing any Juan has ever said about me.

Only one of those three I would want back here is Skitty, he is no doubt thinking right now that he made the wrong decision but you cannot deny ambition. With Hurst and Doig it was not that they were ambitious it was the apparently devious way they left the club. I would also have Nsiala back! No saying I wouldnt have him back as I’m not bitter agains the 3 of them. BUT interested to know why you’d treat Skitty differently? He left claiming he didn’t know about PH and Dougie going to Ipswich and it was just a coincidence but now it seems to have become apparent (as it was at the time to most) him joining as part of PH’s new team was part of the plan from the outset.

Nolan will do nothing in the Championship without his adoptive dad in charge. Bit harsh that our kid. But still, I'd have Nolan back in a heartbeat. I think the likes of Toto are easy enough to find at this level, not so much your box to box goal scoring midfielder. More so if Docherty is off back to Scotland in January. We should definitely inquire, no harm in giving Ipswich a bell... Probably better to do it by text rather than phone......

There are people on facebook willing the return of Mr Hurst. Crying out for Askey to go and Hurst to come back. I mean, really? Are your memories that poor? If he wanted any chance of a return he shouldn't have sh@t on the doorstep on the way out. Some fans will put ambition above all else. As in they want to see Shrewsbury win games and be successful. They feel they have a better chance of that under Hurst than Askey. See no issue in that. Get what you're saying, it's a subjective thing. Two ways of looking at it. Doubt if there are many on the fence regarding this one. My view is also coloured by the fact that the second part of the season saw us sussed out by a number of teams, and I'm not wholly convinced that he had an answer. Last season was a one off, I wouldn't expect the same success second time round unless he has suddenly had a tactical epiphany... and his Ipswich experience would suggest not.

I see in the Shropshire Star that they are reporting Skitty is still at Ipswich?

I just find it surreal that anyone would want Hurst to return, he couldn't be trusted or taken seriously.
Besides, we have a manager and I'm sure Hurst will be fixed up long before we need a replacement.

I see in the Shropshire Star that they are reporting Skitty is still at Ipswich? It would seem so. I suppose being part of the medical team doesn't directly relate to what has happened on the pitch.
The tweet they put out said he had left but he was not mentioned in the club statement on the website. Probably the media team adding 2+2 and getting 5!

If it were a choice between having a mid table finish under Askey or have Hurst back and reach the play offs it would be Askey all day long. We also now have a new physio so very unfair on him if Skitty were to come back.

Have you never heard of someone’s partner leaving them for someone else and then the person taking them back when they realised they’d made a mistake? Happens a lot I’m sure but here were only talking about a job not a relationship..don’t understand people being unforgiving

I just find it surreal that anyone would want Hurst to return, he couldn't be trusted or taken seriously. But he did wave to the fans! Well, I could wave to the fans and I could read this message board for advice and I wouldn't play about with formations or drop fans favourites or, basically, have any new ideas or try anything new. I'm thinking of applying should the vacancy ever arise.
