Telford take on Stafford in their FA Cup 3rd qualifying round replay tonight with the winner taking on whoever prevails from another interesting tie between FC Utd and Stockport County (first result 3-3).
Confirmed 4th qualifying rounds include Chester travelling to Kiddy, Wrexham taking on Fylde and the long forgotted Hereford with a tricky tie away to Eastleigh. Micky Mellons Tranmere also have a tough trip to Halifax.
It's about time we had an away game to an old rival, Chester, Wrexham, Hereford or Telford. If not, FC Utd would be good too.

Telford are through after beating Stafford 4-1, they face FC United in the next round. I see Nantwich are at home to Kettering in the next round, that would be a decent day out if we could get them.

That's 99 per cent of Saturday's programme on Radio Shropshire taken up with that twerp Bond wittering on about Tinpot's cup exploits then. Can't think of a better incentive for everyone to get themselves over to the biscuit tin and see Salop live.Let's get those tickets sold.

Plenty of options. Mine are Kidderminster or Stourbridge. Though Nantwich is an attractive tie.
Scarborough away could be a good day out too, as could AFC Fylde, who have one of those Sports Bars next to the ground.
F.C. United away would have us on TV I'd imagine.

Telford have a very very good record against FCUM.
Worth noting they won 1-0 last night after going down to 9 men with the scoreline at 0-0.

Great result for Hereford. I'd love a trip down to Edgar Street in the quarter final.

They'd be bang up for that... :-)

Would be good to get a cup run and draws againsr top clubs again, with TV coverage.
For Telford, I hope they get as far as drawing Wolves and then beating them, maybe after beating Walsall on the way.

I'm going to stick my neck out that even if Portsmouth are disqualified from the competition and do not have a game they will still be one of the televised games.

Kidderminster is actually a ballache to get to by any other method than driving (so lessens the possibilities for a few drinks on a rare day away from the wife and kid, before anyone asks the obvious) and not really a huge derby. Tranmere? Really can't understand why anyone would want to go back there again; was a semi decent atmosphere last time we played there I guess.
So, Telford or Hereford away please, football Gods. Hereford is just a great day out and a proper derby. Telford would just be epic, a chance to avenge the events of which we do not speak during the season which shall not be named (ie when they beat us twice in the conference).
I'm actually going to be controversial here and rate Wellington as a decent away day. I imagine we'll get a "warm" welcome but, provided you keep your head down, there's a couple of decent pubs (Pheasant, Cock Hotel - admittedly not been in the latter in a while), ground with terracing an easy walk from the station and even a couple of decent places for a curry later if you feel like making a day of it. Not quite Hereford (or Chester, or Shrewsbury for that matter) but still a decent option with the added bonus of a 5 quid, 12 minute each way train.

Congratulations on your start to the season. Just to let you know we are desperate to play you, don't mind if it's home or away, and inflict the first defeat of the season on you. One thing though, if it's at the Church Stretton Meadow, or whatever you call your ground nowadays, we'll need at least 3000 tickets as our away following is still quite large
