Excellent. Home draw with a very good chance to progress. Hereford v Telford out straight after. And the team that knocked out Wrexham just before!

I'm sure we'll prepare properly. If we don't, it's a banana skin.

I don't think Nikki Bull has ever forgiven us for what happened in the play off final against Aldershot.
On the other hand, we haven't forgiven Aldershot for selling us John Dungworth.

Aldershot's fine but I'd have loved an away tie at Bath City.

Good chance of being on TV if both teams keep up their current form - absolutely NOT a home banker and quite possibly a coupon buster I doubt it'll be on TV and they haven't won for 4 games. Mind you by the time we play nor might we.

Can't ask for much more than a home draw against a side 2 leagues lower if you want to progress .

Apart from John Dungworth, others to play for both clubs include Alex McGregor, Ben Herd, Jake Robinson and Marvin Morgan.

Brilliant . The moronic 6 fingered f.cksticks from Tinpot against the permanently p**sed knuckle draggers from Hairyfud. I forecast a right bust up, players sent off and the crowd invading the pitch to kick seven bags of s**t out of each other.. The ref. fearing for his life , calls the game off which is the worst thing he could do as the fans begin to dismantle the changing rooms ,( a garden shed type thing and a tent from Milletts). The F.A. throw both teams out of the Cup and their respective Leagues for bringing the good name of the game into ridicule and disrepute . This is the best decision the F.A. have ever made in their long history.
I can but dream!

Personally I'd like to watch Bulls v Tinpot, but can't see any chance of TV selecting that tie.

Any chance of the match being televised disappeared when Kent Walton and Wrestling was taken off the box.

It's the crowd scenes which should provide the entertainment.

I'd rule the Stevenage, Wigan and Coventry ties out too. Past selections indicate that TV requires the non-league team to be at home. And Crawley should be non-league anyway.

We are probably witnessing at present the best chance for many seasons of Town having a real go at achieving promotion to the Championship. If will probably be many seasons before such a team if ever comes together again. All I hope in the cup is that Town are not distracted from what could be a memorable season and when they are eliminated from the cup they don't end up with hangover that damages the huge opportunity this season is presenting. The FA Cup yes can be a great money pot but promotion to the Championship brings a potential cup tie atmosphere to much of the matches. Did us no harm in 1979

On dee udder hand, a good cup run will strengthen Hurst's bargaining power in January when he looks for a bit of quality to add to da squad. Go out on dee fust round, and there's a free Saturday with no fixture, and money only going out, with nowt coming in.

Apart from Northampton v Scunny, all the other 22 1st Division sides have avoided one another and most have very winnable ties.
Wigan, Blackburn, Bradford, Charton, Peterboro and ourselves all have home advantage.
It's going to make for a very competitive 2nd Round!
