Was Nani wearing shin pads? Doesnt appear to be he was wearing them but the tackle was so high they were of no use check his other leg these are what he should have been wearing

very good Pilch. My take on it is that the ball bobbled on a bad pitch. Shame really but it couldn't of happened to a bigger baby. In my day it was' never show them it hurt you'. Whatever happened to that.

The thing I dont get is..... Carrarager put in an awful tackle, there is no doubt he was going for the ball, no malice in it, but it was just a cr@p tackle, two footed (kinda) and very dangerous... he should have been sent off.. No liverpool fans will take you up on that it was poor... However, he looked genuinely sorry for it, his punishment, and then tryied to say sorry (but to be fair Nani was having none of it) and then hung around to aplologise at the end of the game, which in this day its pretty rare to see a player show some compassion for another..... The flick back about a week... A thug (thats basically what hes become) Rooney, puts in a deliberate, nasty elbow on a fellow pro for nothing, off the ball and gets a hug from the ref... does he say sorry or show any remorse??? No not at all.. Its fair enough Man U fans having ago at this and that yesterday, they would, the lost... but when you compare it to things like that Rooney Elbow... Im my view (Biast or not) It shows which club and player is the one that has a bit of class over the least week Regardless of both incidents being nasty... One clubs season has taken a turn for the positive over the last few weeks, another is hitting a rough patch.... the reaction of angry man u fans on here, and the comical 606 last night is to be expected... has gerrard apologised too ? it may have been his doing that it was only a yellow card tried to make out nani was faking it on the floor when nani got up he pushed him back down and then told he to get back up if rio had done that after a rooney tackle on a liverpool player it may have triggered off a world war

God, we could go on red for the Raffel, yellow for Maxi just before that, certain yellow for a bad Scholes tackle, a more that went on in the bust ups in the game which warrented yellows... Ie Van Da Sar getting one, when all he did was run out of the goal, but at the same time severla players from both sides were pushing and pulling...
You moaning about Gerrard is clutching at straws... he was far and away not the only player getting involved in the rucks... you could point the finger several times at Evra for pretty much the same thing... and United players constantly trying to get players sent off... I would have sent Van Der Sar off... one booking for his pathetic run out of goal and lambast the lino for the first goal and the yellow he actually got...
But hell just focus on Gerrard Pilch... not just agree than in a match full of passion, that no one player was better than the rest really, most got involved, on both sides, having a go at the refs, linos, other players.. ect
difference is does not look petulant when you win, it does when you lose..
Next you will be complaining that Gerrard should have been sent off for pushing the ref in the 2nd half after he got in is way, hands all over the ref.... throw the book at him!!!

Makes for very interesting reading... That 'push' from Gerrard may seem a 'push' to sour Man Utd fans who are used to getting penalties etc for non existant fouls/pushes but it's clear to me that he's only touched him, probably incenced as he was standing up seconds before!!! Then again, Nani's got form for falling at the slightest touch hasn't he

He'll probably get the club fined for not being co-operative, then resign in disgust at the media, just so he has someone to blame for " driving him out of the game", rather than admitting he's just losing his touch and should retire. If being manager of a team which is top of the league in March, in the QF of the FA Cup and the last 16 of the Champion's League (admittedly they may miss out on all three, but I doubt it) is losing his touch, then imagine where Utd would be if he wasn't!

I don't see what the fuss is about. Nani will just be happy to have increased his assist tally by one.

Some people are so easily wound up. Manchester United not speaking to the media is not allowed and they should be punished for it, thats just the plain truth. The Carragher challenge was horrendous, I don't think he intended it to happen tbf to him and apologising at the end was a decent gesture, without making up for the injury he caused. He should of been off, no doubt, but Nani didn't help himself. To me at home watching, I was as angry as the Liverpool players, the way Nani ran to get him sent off (fair enough in hindsight) looked awful, and though Gerrard touched and pushed him slightly he fell because of his injury. Unfortunately for Nani, his reputation of going to ground easy played a part I think. Hope he recovers. Rafael should also of been off, it was a stupid lunge in anger having been on the end of a bad scrape from Maxi. He lost his head. Shame this takes over from good banter about the scoreline and so on. Liverpool deserved the win but United are still top. Shouldn't both be happy sets of supporters?

While Phil Dowd said otherwise so there. Probably the same Graaham Poll who used to be a clown refereeing aswell? Anyway that's never a red, a slightly raised boot, if thats a red, your giving 5 a game most games. And there was only one two footed challenge in that game it's worth remembering. ;-)

Maxi was a booking, he didnt kick out, it was a careless high foot that didn't cause harm nor was intentional. He isn't that type of player.

only saw the highlights, but certainly Carragher & Rafael could easily (& probably should have) been red cards.
looked like van der saar tried the Rooney elbow to the back of someones head as he ran of protesting about the 1st goal - unless that was a real crappy tv angle.

All Gerrard said to Nani was 'Quit yo Jibba Jabba' and 'Get some Nuts' something along those lines.
Reminds me of a young child when they fall over - not sure what to do whether to cry or carry on. So what does he do? Stands up, runs over and then theatrically goes down - 'look what happened Daddy'! Had he remained where he was i'd have more respect for him.
So, Carra gets a Red, Maxi gets a yellow, Rafael gets a Red and a Yellow (isnt shoving your chest into someone punishable?) Skrtl got a yellow. Regardless of Carra staying back to say sorry etc does that make things better? It seemed too high to be accidental.
