macclesfield had £500K (i think) pumped into them, not through the buying of shares, but just pumped into them.
Dont really know how it works, but i guess it boosts the teams income, having said that i'd have thought it would have become of benifit next season?

If you always look to the negatives in situations people will lose heart and start to think you are always complaining. There is being honest, and there is finding balance. I'd like to see a few more positives highlighted - if not look at the right negatives. I do agree with that. I listen to GP intreviewed after we have won a game, and he sounds like we are down and he is about to pack it all in. It might be just his manner, but it doesn't inspire confidence. I'm sure it will be better next year

Peters' post match interviews are refreshing. We win and he dioesn't go overboard, we lose and he doesn't start ranting. A very good level headed approach to things.

Great post Guest The thing about GP is he is planning for the LONG term its about time someone did that .I would hope those there last night left with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose Next season we will see improvemnt but we must be patient Its better to get it right than get it quick

at the end of the day, you can all trust every word he says, and think he is God. i dont, thats my opinion, and how ever much you try and make me see your way of thinking, it wont work. i do think hes done a fair bit, bringing in new players, geting rid of dead wood, etc etc. i also said in one of my posts, hes probably the kick up the arse the club needs, and i even said that i dont think he is going to walk away. i said he could walk away at any time, which he could. but i see the contract as a sign of his commitment.and yes pilch i do know if he signs a contract he can still walk away, im not stupid, i know this.but gary peters when/if he eventually signs his contract will obviously be when hes in a stable situation at the club, when hes got everything he wants, so therefore wont walk away as he loves the club and the fans etc etc-he said so himself didnt he! you twitter on about how its not important....please explain why it crops up on the msg board every other week then? it seems to me, you all want him to sign the contract, but because he tells you all how unimportant it is, you seem to agree, just because hes told you that it is. any other manager would be slated for it, but coz gp talks the talk, he can do as he pleases.

Personally I'm in support of what GP says, and has done to date.
He, of course, will be judged on results, and while I expect things to take time to improve I won't want to see us at the bottom of the table come November etc
As regards the contract issue, I think too much of it has been made from day one. If it's GP's way of bargaining to get more from the board and the fans then so be it.
I'm looking forward to a Salop side full of young players fighting for their place in the side next season.
That said, I can understand why there are a couple of you who are cynical, we've had several managers in recent years who have been sayers and not doers, I guess your response is only natural.

Your entitled to your opinion of course but is there any evidence to back up what is a fairly serious allegation? its not an allegation, its an opinion and its what she thinks- everyone is looking at him through rose tinted glasses, and its too early for that..there is just enough evidence to back up what ema is saying as there is to back up what everyone else is

Your entitled to your opinion of course but is there any evidence to back up what is a fairly serious allegation? a fairly serious allegation? lol i aint accused him of murder and plus i never said " GARY PETERS, IS A LIAR!" i said that i dont think he is being 100% honest with us, and i have my reasons for that. but at the end of the day, i know wot he said to certain players, as does becky, so i know wot he said last night isnt strictly true! and no i didnt get it off a steward, and no i didnt make it up

He's kept us in the league and is building a younger side. I think his biggest obsticle is next season and whether the fans will be patient as he rebuilds.

I'm with the 'let's not get carried away just yet' school. Jake King talked a lot about five year plans and running the club from top to bottom, and while I rate Gary personally, a few on here seem to think he's the greatest manager never to manage England. Let's support him but not do so blindly.

Would mrstolley's mistrust of Gary Peter's have anything to do with the fact that Peter's wasn't overly complimentary of Jamie Tolley at last nights meeting?
I was glad to see that Peter's has noticed Tolleys ability to pick up injuries when the going gets tough, and it was fairly clear from last nights meeting that he sees Edwards and Aston as better prospects than Tolley.

And I thought things were going to calm down on this board now the season was over OK, my view on GP is that he did a fine job on the whole this season. I'm not going to go overboard and proclaim him as our saviour just yet, but I do think the club are slowly heading in the right direction. I am worried that we have scored 6 goals in our last 10. I am also worried that our away form has been crap all season. These are things that i trust GP will work on during pre season and that come August he will have assembled a team capable of finishing in mid table.

We will have to wait and see!!!!

I think Gary Peters is an intelligent guy who has sussed the club out completely. He's identified what's gone wrong in the past and has made constructive suggestions about the future. What he is proposing is nothing less than the complete restructuring of our club from top to bottom - something which has been needed for a long time. I really think this is a make-or-break period for us. Either GP succeeds and our move to the new ground dovetails with his new vision or we fail. If we fail I really think we are in trouble and could slide out of the league for good and end up as a glorfied Sunday league side. If we succeed though I can see us building up from the bottom like Crewe with GP as our Dario Gradi - it could take years but it will be worth it. The alternative doesn't bear thinking about .... This is the beginning of the revival of STFC ....

I suppose the facts on some players speak for themselves, be it Lowe, Aiston etc, one thing though we finished fourth from bottom, something had to give. I don't have rose tinted glasses, just a small ray of hope that finally we 'might' have someone in charge who will make this club move forwards.

Emma has an opinion that she belives in...I don't get why every is questioning it?........She's only putting her voice across yet everyones quizzing.......even saying its cause Peters doesn't like Tolley or what ever.
Come on guys she has an opinion that she is intitled to..she does not have to explian every part of it.
