If we're going by pub names, i must live in Harry Hotspur Imagine how many suburbs there would be in the Town Centre if we went by that logic

Quote: "The actual size of the ward is 0.7 square miles (169 hectares). " Seems a bit small if we're talking about the whole of 'Sundorne' (whatever that is)?

The Grange is one side Sundorne is the other It is all Harlescott - except that the name Harlescott is slowly being removed from circulation by the LEA and the Borough Council

unless people are taking the p**s, 9 people have voted for the BNP. I find this quite chillinhough parts of shropshire (not really including telford) have seen small groups of ethnic minorities move into the towns (shrewsbury, market drayton, newport etc) its not as if we are over flowing with "foreigners" or suffering large rises in crime as a result, it can't really be argued that they are "pinching" jobs. So find this very worrying. Obviously the people who voted for BNP arent going to justify why, after the abuse CS and UK shrew recieved, but there are some very illeducated and naive people out there

Phil, when I first bought a house we had a Tory goverment and interest rates were 15%. Now that was hard work. Its swings and roundabouts. Nice to see a young lad taking an interest and weighing up the pros and cons. Hammerhill, the point Phil is making is you could buy a house. Phil has no chance becuase of the high house prices. My step children are in the same position.

Labour People usualy vote according to thie own perspective on life. Health Service is getting better, without any shadow of doubt, and it is the one thing i can be certain about. Waiting lists are falling, a & e waiting times never been lower. Ask yourself this, if i become ill, which country would i wish to become ill in. Within 6 months of Labour first coming to power nurses received a 16% pay rise, and above or in line with inflation there after. Under Labour, my pay has risen from 14K to 25K in 9 years. What's your view on the following 1) Increasing National Debt and how it is going to get paid? 2) The fact your beloved Labour Party want you to work 5 years longer for a greatly reduced pension? 3) Labour knowing we are living longer and facing a pension crisis, so they take £5 billion a year out of pension funds in tax and the knock on effect on the Stock Market? 4) Rising taxes? 5) Labours proud claim that they won't increase the Basic Rate of Income Tax but increased National Insurance? At least the Lib-Dems were honest and said we will increase the Basic Rate of Tax to improve the Health Service 6) Hidden waiting lists? Do they exist ? I ask this question as my Dad was diagnosed with a heart value problem. The Doctors said "We will wait until it gets worse but we will operate" That struck me as we know you need the treatment but we won't put you on the waiting list just yet because of the figures.

Are you suggesting national goverment take local councils out of the loop re-responsibility for building social housing and inforcing affordable homes

The country is not perfect, but there is no credible alternative. Spot on Dachs. My view exactly. I just think people should think for themselves abit more rather than believing every last thing that comes out of the Labour Spin machine. (Made Abroad as we have no manufacturing left or is it ) )

Really? Less bad backs for the youth of Shropshire from now on. The company I work for is in dire straits at the moment too. I blame Blair.

Are you suggesting national goverment take local councils out of the loop re-responsibility for building social housing and inforcing affordable homes I'm not suggesting anything. What I'm trying to say is that i'm looking at the bigger picture. I want a say in what is happening in the whole of the country and not just at a local level.
