so another Saturday and our loyal travelling fans are as always vocally trying to be the 12th man for a team with a woeful record on the road and an equally poor record against teams below and near us.
Southend have sacked there manager and installed the clubs academy chief Ricky Duncan as interim manager ; form wise Southend have picked up 1 point out of a possible 15 and town have picked up 4 points out of a possible 15. town are hovering above the bottom four. things are incredibly tight only 4 points separate 12th to 21st place. some chanes will be forced on us Arnold seems to be ruled out for the rest of the season, it is unclear how sever the injury's to Bolton, Norburn and Ferjiri. Mitchell seems to have got the nod , so laurent makes a start ? with either Holloway or payne up front with Campbell.let us hope Beckles can show some self control and avoid pulling/pushing players in front of the ref in dangerous areas.
with games running out a phrase much used is"a must win game" lose and we are back in the bottom four.who knows what performance inconsistent shrewsbury will produce, will Southend experience a new manager bounce ?, can town actually win on there travels? who scores first could be pivotal both teams have the same goal difference whilst Southend have conceded 5 more goals they have scored more goals than town.

Not confident either but it will depend which team turn up for Town, will it be the one that shows up every now and then and seems much better than their league placing or will it be the one that turns up much more often looking out of sorts and gifting the opposition too many easy goals?
Lose this one and whilst it won’t be curtains by a long way but it will probably show that we don’t really have the bottle for a relegation scrap. Draw and we will still be right in the mix with a lot of other teams, maybe just a few less as depending on results elsewhere might mean 1 or 2 are almost clear. A win would settle a few nerves hopefully for the last 6 game run in. Can see us needing 3 more wins, 2 if we can draw most of the others.

I'm going for individual errors at the back and few, if any chances, up front! No idea what the score will, but I ain't expecting a goal fest!

Expecting the same old. Listen to the game where they’ll say we look ok, got into some good areas and the game is there to be won, then we’ll concede due to a mistake or set piece. Finally, we’ll give it a good go but not have the cutting edge to get back into the game. Just a normal Saturday away game with the radio on

I've been there for the Wimbledon and Peterborough win so hopefully Southend will make the 'holy trinity' I'm going for 1-4 with Campbell to score first @ 300/1 so get on it 👍

Well Southend are where they are for a reason, they're not much cop either. Hopefully they have a worse game then we do... Really is the business end of the season now, with so many games against relegation rivals it really does add something to each game, consequences amplified big time...big time six pointers!! Lord know what to expect be we should be having a right good go at them from the off and just hope the weather and pitch is decent enough. 1-2 Town... I gather they traveled down yesterday is it?

Unchanged starting 11 apart from the forced change in goal. Good to see some kind of continuity in selection at least, but do hope we can get some support up front for Okenabirhe - get an early goal and hopefully Southend might let in a few

I don’t care about the performance, just need to get the 3 points.
A loss would be disastrous.

COYB I agree but with things so tight from 12th down we badly need a winning run and some breathing space, have doubts about the amount of bottle this team has.

I am not one for hyperbole and all that, but this really is must win isn't it. No it’s not. We must win 2 or 3 out of the next 7 but even a defeat today wouldn’t be the end of things as many others around us won’t win either so no points today we will still be in the mix with all of those. However today looks one of our better chances of winning on paper at least so we do need to give it a go.

Just the one change today then (keeper). Looks a lovely day for football. Pitch looks decent enough too.

With the way other results are going a draw wouldn't be a disaster today, a win would be a real boost though and give us a bit of breathing space at the bottom of the table.

Wrexham 3 down at half time and waving goodbye to a chance of automatic promotion has cheered me up though
