with Bury relegated and there manager Rob Lowe been less than complimentary about his players , there performances and commitment, combined with only getting one point out of a possible fifteen points it is very difficult to know how they will play and how the players will respond, some will wont to leave and presumably will wont to put themselves in the shop window., lowe's comments could be reverse psychology to provoke a response ? they are now playing for pride and with nothing to lose might be able to play with more freedom or they have already packed there backs and are mentally on the plane?
Hurst has made a pragmatic interview with regards the plays offs and with a dip in form and some players looking rather tired , is toto and payne fit ? will he rest key players will he stick with henderson or try McGilivray ? with Beckles back will he have lowe on the subs bench to use his pace on the wing wing . when jones played it looked as if Nolan was playing deeper . we badly need a convincing win can we do better in the last third or will it fizzle out only time will tell

I'm looking forward to tomorrow more then any game in a while in a way. With Blackburn winning yesterday we have no pressure on getting a result. I'm going to just enjoy what a great season it has been and have a breather before the play offs. Hopefully we can play some decent football and grab a goal or two.

At the start of the season and seeing the quality of players Bury were bringing in I would have said a finish in the league for us above Bury would have been an incredible season. Little did I think that we could have finished above them and still been relegated. Its a funny old game.

Little did I think that we could have finished above them and still been relegated. Its a funny old game. To be fair they've been an accident waiting to happen. It's a lesson to all chairmen out there ( one they seem to ignore). Throwing Money ( especially by dubious means) at your club doesn't guarantee success. It does however put you in a fragile place financially if things start to go astray. Feel sorry for the supporters, they deserve better but the sooner Bury FC get a new owner the better. If they don't they could end up following Stockport down the leagues & that would be a shame.

Strange day today I guess knowing that it is a dead rubber, you normally get into this mood when it's the last game of the season and everything is done and dusted. It's still four games out from the seasons end and then we go again with the play offs. So not really sure what to think about today...the calm before the storm perhaps. Time to take a deep breath before it all goes daft again come May. Hope we see one or two rested. Hope we don't see any injuries or cards...

Feel a bit deflated going to today’s game knowing that automatic is realistically out of reach. We need a point to secure third which will be a monumental achievement despite the dead rubber feel. Need the team to play themselves back into form for the play offs next month and the next four games will provide that opportunity. Those injured will also have time to recover and be ready for the play off show time.

Is there any chance Ogogo could be fit for the play offs? If not I'd imagine we won't see him in a Shrewsbury shirt again.

I’m not going to the game today, but I need to pick up three tickets for Blackpool.
I know the ticket office is open before and after the game, but will there be anyone there during the game? I’d rather not have to pick up the tickets when everyone’s queuing for today’s game.

He wants to move back down south, it’s a shame but we move on. Onto the game today, I’m not bothering personally. Result doesn’t really matter but it would be nice to gather some momentum going into the play offs. Hoping Hursts is going to be sensible and rests a few players today!

I think, and thought at the time, that if we hadn't had an extra year's clause that we invoked last year, he would have gone then. Personally, I would hope he stays, but the signs aren't looking good and I suspect you are right.

I can't remember the last time I went to a game this far out from the end of the season with nothing hanging on the result.
This is the "mid-table mediocrity" we've longed for since we were promoted!

Am I the only one still hoping we can take this to the pressure of the last day? Come on Town. Keep going til the very end.

Players seem to be playing under a lot of pressure recently, think some big chants of 'we are staying up' would be great around the ground today.

he's springing a few surprises these days! Nolan, Payne and Whalley not in squad. Eisa comes in for first start. Riley and Thomas come onto the bench.
Could be as Lewis suggests or maybe 4411 with Eisa off Morris. Either way Rodman moves onto the right. We shall see

I'm surprised Henderson has kept his place given the number of mistakes he has made recently. You have to feel sorry for Macgillivray, can't recall him making an error when he has played but still gets instantly dropped.

Goal!!! Eisa with a fairly long run from his own half, looked as though the Bury lad had moved him off the ball but he was having none of that, won it back and hit a low driven shot past the keeper.
Is that his first start by the way? What a way to get things going anyhow. Superb stuff.

Abo and his brother Mo Eisa both scored in 13th minute for us and Cheltenham today, natural connection there.

Definitely has a preseason feel about it this game. But then that might not be a bad thing considering the way we started back in August...
