Amazing to think that he was olay8ng Conference North football on loan at Telford in 2015...and we signed him after being released on a free by Luton. I think Shaun’s now scored 15 goals in about 90 appreances for us - not a bad return. 20 goals in 105 appearances, including 30 as sub. And half of those goals have come this season! This is the fifth time in his career he's hit double figures for goals in a season - three of the others were his time at Southport; the first time was when he managed 19 goals in 2009-10 with Droylsden in Conference North. So, apart from that season in the sixth tier, his next highest tally was 13 - he only needs three more goals this season to top that playing two divisions higher. Not a bad effort for a guy who'd never been above a few truncated efforts at L2 football when we signed him!

This and Ogogo is starting to concern me with our transfer dealings so far. It feels a lot like Turner in League 1 right now. I really hope I'm wrong but it isn't boding well unless we get some proven league 1 players in. Hindsight is a b*tch...

Crikey, some of those comments are bang on on one player but utterly wrong with the next. Time will make fools of us all.

For every Whalley there's a Sadler. Some you win some you lose. Think this is my favourite post on this thread 😁

If we're going to go back any further, we'll probably find a thread, "Old man Rowley, is this what we've come to? His legs have gone".
