Are you seriously suggesting this price increase is to cover the cost of something which may well not happen? If Matt Williams comes out after his meeting tomorrow and says it's not realistic then how will you justify the hike then? I am not, but hey have given 2 cheap games, which turn out to be 2 of the best performances, so I am not using that as justification, if indeed that is what your looking for, the justification comes in one of the best teams in Europe playing at our stadium, and an almost definite sellout. which in this case, I really would not object to the club cashing in on!!
Sometimes I get the feeling you read what you want to rather than what is written on many posts and come out with the wrong assumption.
I saw your previous post as having two points to it. The second was that the club should cash in on this game, as Ive already posted earlier I disagree with that because I think it sends out the wrong message to regular fans who arent season ticket holders and its arguably a very short sighted approach. But you arent on your own in your view. The first point (which was the one I was really referring to in my response) was implying that fans have to expect price rises if we want to have a bigger capacity for the game, something which is a long way off from happening. If I mis-read that, then what was your point?

I will try to keep this relatively simple, as it seems to be having a few problems sinking in, which hopefully will make my point.
I do not mind the club cashing in on this game.

I agree with you in this respect, and as I have just picked my tickets up this morning I am now looking forward to it now. Only ball ache for me is waiting until general sale of tickets now as I want to bring my niece for her second ever game (which will be the Chelsea match) and need a seat next to me. Will have to move if I have too but I do like my seat

Do super blues members still get added loyalty points? Yes according to my renewal "blurb" ! And dont forget the Legends Card points too !! I emailed the club to clarify re Superblues - I just got a reply this morning stating 'The super blues membership loyalty points haven’t been agreed with the club, as of yet, for this season'.

Just because I cannot commit to a season ticket financially in one big lump sum does not make me any less of a fan, and I think the £5 extra penalty, (which surely is what it is), is frankly insulting. My son and I will be watching in the pub whether I can get tickets with my loyalty points or not.

Season ticket holders are paying £7 more than usual for the Chelsea game so £5 extra for non season ticket holders isnt too bad

As I've only been able to get to one game so far this season I'm going to have to queue up on the 20th with the once in a generation fans. I can cope with that, as I think it's well worth £25 to see the mighty Salop * on Jose's chips.

Try telling that to Chris Smith !!!!! I've asked the same question at the ticket desk and online today, and been told that the 'super blues membership points have been discussed with the club' Any ideas what this means? I'm trying to ask the ticket office manager by email but my reply emails keep getting bounced back saying my IP has been blocked?

'The super blues loyalty points haven’t been agreed to by the club.
Many Thanks

Hartlepool charge £25 for league games and as did Swindon when they were in League Two, buy a ticket on the day at the meadow and you're paying £20 to watch us play Accrington or Morecambe, £25 for a rare game against currently the best team in the country, if you don't want to pay it then don't, the club will sell out anyway so it will be your loss and your loss only!

We may not be the cheapest Club around but how many have a Price structure based on the category of opponent? We would have seen a number of them last season yet we were allowed to pay the same against Wolves as Crewe. Due to the profile of the opponents Players and a full away end id expect their to be an increase of stewarding and Policing costs per supporter and not just in total.

It really no wonder that supporters in England are shat on from a great height when you read some of the stuff on here. Refreshing to see such empathy between fellow supporters too. Why aren't we charging 40 quid darn it!!
