Local lads sometimes get a rougher deal from their own crowd........... Paul Evans seemed to get a similar reaction in his day. A lot depends on how good the local lad is. McNally seemed popular with the crowd and Carl Griffiths was very popular. Tolley on the other hand........................

I wont rise to the Tolley bait Ex ![;)](http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/winking/winking0070.gif) I was a big fan of both McNally and Griffiths and distinctly remember them getting plenty of stick from sections of the crowd. They both proved the doubters wrong with great STFC careers and big money moves so hopefully Leslie will follow in their footsteps PS We could have got 200k for Tolley at his peak ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png)

Not sure maybe GT has this right,
can't deny the Taylor decision,
Raven I think its very harsh, but think Logically, if he's injury prone it could be pointless, ultimately he was our first choice full back and yet Holden and Grandison spent long periods playing there. - That said I just hope there is a replacement lined up,
McIntyre should have gone last season,
Its disapointing about Hooman and Danny Taylor as under Simpson they were at least getting to the bench, it would seem Turner would prefer a higher division loanee come in,
Leslie I can see the logic, but only if he really plays a lot next season,
The envitable but wrong decision is Disley, wasn't even on the bench on friday so the writing was on the wall, what Wroe does that Disley doesnt do, I really really do not know

I feel the player who has been most hard done by is Danny Taylor. He had a lot of potential and played a few games last season, it seems as if GT didn't trust him, whenever we had problems at right back GT always bought someone else in and not gave him the chance. Raven is probably one of the best right backs in league 2 and despite injury problems has been very consistent, I can only imagine that he has not been offered anything on medical advice or that he has a recurring injury. It will be difficult to find a better right back who would want to come and join us imo. This now leaves us with no natural full back! Disley I wasn't too arsed about, but I think it's good news as he was supposedly on a lot as he was one of Simpsons buys and it just goes to show that GT is making spaces clear for at least 2 central midfielders. We only have Wroe and McAllister in the centre now. McIntyre was a good decision and I would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him the best of luck. I am happy about Leslie getting a contract but only as a squad player, I think he'll stay with us. I don't think this shows a lack of ambition and the fanbase will need to be behind him and not slate him every mistake he makes as this will probably affect him. I'm now waiting for Jonny Taylor to sign on the dotted line for Shrrewsbury Town

Disley - Wroe, well i guess its in the eye of the beholder, but for me Wroe has a lot to prove to me next season, I agree Optimistic Shrew - its a big shame that Danny Taylor didnt get a chance to kick on from last season, where I thought he looked very mature, certainly a lot more natural than Grandison at right back ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
