I'm not defending the steward in this case but a few points:
1. Could this particular fan have had previous with the stewards - i.e. been warned before?
2. A few people are making the comments that the vast majority of the invaders behaved - oh great so some didn't - those are the ones that we have to worry about. As it is even in that footage you can see that several idiots have had to go over to the torquay end - WHY!?
3. Once again, why did anyone have to go on the pitch??? We hadn't got through, we hadn't even won the match - what was there to celebrate?? And why do it when it's been mentioned time after time that supporters should not go on the pitch, or are these people just so completely thick??? Especially of note after the awful behaviour of some idiots in the previous match.

that steward was a knob head. all through the game he stood at the top of block 19 trying to pick fights, and on a couple of occasions tried to shove me down the stairs for other stewards to deal with me when all i was doing was trying to stand with my friends. i've never seen him at the grounnd before and i doubt he'll have the nerves to come again as he has made many friends

Cos I bet it was not for blocks 18 or 19 or the area you was trying to get in, as you would not have been moved on if it was!!

it was for block 18 but the camera was right in front of me so i saw a spare seat in block 19 and decided to stand there. no harm done nobody had to move as nobody had took the seat so i decided to sit there.

pretty much. but my point is that the steward seems to have no idea of how to deal with people, because he was the only one to react to fans pouring onto the pitch and he seemed pretty keen for something or someone to kick off so he could have a scrap. my personal opinion of how i saw his behaviour on the night

Unlike you, where you have still had a few days to think and mull things over and still think that a smoke grenade in a vomitory is funny, which to me shows a high level of stupidity!!

as i said i think its funny how it got into the ground and how it was dealt with. You only have to know the smallest of rules regarding searching people like minors, females etc etc to realise tha you can get anything you want in to the ground if your determined!!

well surely a smoke grenade, which i doubt would fit in a pocket easily, would be easily spotted and the person in question could be rejected from the ground. and even more so the person who dropped it right by the stewards shouldve been spotted easily.

To all those asking why fans went on the pitch, why can't the fans celebrate a great season just because we didn't go up?
And can't the fans celebrate the 125th anniversary of the team they've paid to see?

And can't the fans celebrate the 125th anniversary of the team they've paid to see? but we did that by singing happy birthday at the start ![;)](http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/winking/winking0070.gif) I was hoping we'd all get a party bag at the end.

as i said i think its funny how it got into the ground and how it was dealt with. Alex, the last time many of us saw smoke in a football stand people died. I imagine you werent born then so you wont have felt the impact it had on every football supporter. Even though i knew it was a smoke bomb, it made me feel sick to see and that is not an overstatement. the problem with things like smoke bombs is that they scare some people and can cause panic, which is not what you want in a restricted area or any other area for that matter. maybe you need to see people trampled to not see the funny side , but i really think you should grow up a bit and start thinking of others a little

Did you get an answer Dr Crippen? In all fairness, Paul did send me an informative private-message almost immediately. Much appreciated.

Cant see what the problem is ? unless of course it is deliberately to cause trouble ? From your posts Pilch it comes across crystal clear that apart from moderating what others put on here you seem hell bent on disrupting what the club try to acheive imo. Who moderates your posts?

As of next week and by popular request, Justice Eady will be moderating Pilch's ZYB's posts. This should lead to a much quieter messageboard for everyone ![;)](http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/winking/winking0070.gif)
