.. is that Ainsworth isn't injured and hasn't been for sometime.
He had a massive row with Turner after refusing to take part in a run up Haughmond Hill, 1 month to rectify the situation or he is being moved on in January.

It's a shame, he should have been a huge player for us

I hope he proves me wrong, I really do

Does leave us very light out wide come Jan.
Shame, so much potential, just a bit of an idiot. 23 and far too many clubs.
Still hope this is wrong though

The best footballer we have - can use either foot - made Wright look average in the first 6 weeks of season

The best footballer we have - can use either foot - made Wright look average in the first 6 weeks of season No he didn't. Wright's been consistently excellent from the start, barring a dip in form when the whole team was labouring. If there's a problem with Ainsworth, I hope it can be sorted. He's good, but only if he's contributing on the pitch. If not, move him out and move on.

A massive shame if true. If he is to leave in January then I hope we get more money than what we paid for him. I can guarantee we wouldn't make a loss, that is for sure.

Would agree with that At home he looked good in the first few games but away he was ineffective and since then its been very stop/start. I must admit that I was a bit sceptical about the signing because his actual record isnt the greatest bar a 15 game spell at Hereford. I dont blame Turner for signing him because he clearly has talent but he also has a bit of an attitude problem it appears. Id be disapointed if he goes as he is clearly a talented player but it wont be the end of the world. If he is refusing to do something as simple as taking part in a run then get rid

Not necessarily. I would think that the alleged argument would have taken place after that was printed.

How many friends in football has Lionel got after GT? His goal at Wycombe was just a flash of what he is capable of and I hope he knuckles down now and grabs any opportunity that may come his way, if he gets one, personally I hope GT doesnt sell, but maybe a short loan spell at a lowly Conference club would give him the kick up the arse he needs?

Not necessarily. I would think that the alleged argument would have taken place after that was printed. The article was printed 6 days ago, Jamo said that Ainsworth hasn't been injured for some time, presumably after the Southampton game the incident happened as he hasn't started since.

I know someone who spoke to Lionel on the Saturday night of the Southampton game and Lionel said his leg still felt dodgy and that he'd need some more time to get back to full fitness.
Suggests either he's lying or Jamo is incorrect - time will tell!

Think Jamo might be incorrect have also been told Lionel is still feeling a niggle.

so if it is true, we can sell him and use the money to buy wright, if not we still have ainsworth who on his day is a very good player at this level. i never hear any rumours apart from twots, which are seemingly quite accurate, but it seems odd thing to happen seeing as the reason he came here was that they had a mutual appreciation. things can change, and rumours can be wrong, but if it is true, i wouldn't weep if we lost a sportsman who refused to run when asked.

Even if he is on crutches, doesn't necessarily mean he's injured If he is to be moved on in January we should use the money to buy Mark Wright and an extension of the loans of Obadeyi & possibly (least likely) Sadler.

I can't believe people are questioning a TWOTS A real shame as the guy obviously has bags of potential. If GT can't get the most out of him with their 'special' relationship what future does he have? Can't see anyone queueing up to give him a chance elsewhere. Come on Lionel- you still have a chance to pull yourself together. It would be criminal to waste your undoubted talent- grow up eh?!?

I ran up around Haughmond yesterday, and would advise against it as it was fecking treacherous.....However its one of my regular routes for hill work and if this happened a month back I can testify it was sound so cant see any reason to 'opt out' of a team workout up there.
Not the attitude you need in any team whether battling for promotion, against relegation or mid table obscurity. Take it with a pinch of salt, see what happens. If he's bombed out for cash in Jan, you can probably believe the story.

I have used that run for hill work too, it seems to go on forever but great for stamina. Have you ever tried a run up Lythe Hill, if you start from the bottom of Lyth Hill Road? - it's an absolute killer, but again great for stamina. On the topic of Ainsworth; he is so far contributed very little. He's shown glimpses of his ability in the first few games, but generally he comes across disinterested and lazy. I notice Wrighty has been tracking back and closing people down whereas Aisworth doesn't. If he is causing problems and has an attitude then if he goes in Jan it will be a good thing; however if this rumour is untrue and he has been carrying injuries then i hope he stays and repays the faith shown in him from GT.

Interesting but isnt running up Haughmond part of the pre-season training schedule?
Maybe wrong but IMO far to rigorous for mid game prep
