I bought mine today, think it's a very decent offer by the Club. Thought you might have been presented with yours for Distinguished Service in the face of the enemy ( i.e the rest of us !! - less heavenly , of cousre !! )

serious question and not a pro or anti simmo question Do you think the recession will have a significant effect on season ticket sales for next season?

serious question and not a pro or anti simmo question Do you think the recession will have a significant effect on season ticket sales for next season? I'm sure it will have some downward effect, much as some will put it all down to a reaction against what's happened this season. A lot will depend on local unemployment, or the fear of it. In the end, whether or not you've got a job or can afford it is more important than what happens on the pitch.

serious question and not a pro or anti simmo question Do you think the recession will have a significant effect on season ticket sales for next season? One of the things I have factored in is the cost of fuel, over £20 for each trip to Shrewsbury for me, whereas I can walk to the Altrincham ground.

One of my neighbours is a lifelong Altrincham fan Dave. Maybe I should suggest that he get a season ticket at the new meadow and you get one at Altrincham and then have your own phone-in post-mortem to each other every Saturday tea time.

Over 2400 Season tickets sold as of the end of today - absolutely fantastic Well its been obvious since the weekend the club needed a new PR man, I didn't realise you could start so soon. Best of luck in your new job.

I'm not renewing but only because work commitments wont allow me to go to every home game anymore.
It'll be fun being able to pick and choose my home games for the first time in 11 years, and if we have any more of the same debacles next season, it'll make my choice very, very easy.

Renewed earlier. A very good offer by the club and imo It is fantastic value. Renewed as I am an STFC supporter through and through despite who the manager is next season. www.shrewsburytown.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10443~2011126,00.html Due to hight demand of season tickets the office is open to 6pm tommorow If we get a new manager in I can see us breaking last seasons record and will encourage people who haven't got a season ticket for this season to get one.

Even though the football at times has been dire, the whole matchday experience of having a few pints with your mates, perhaps watching a game in the pub, putting the world to rights, meeting new people, and perhaps making new friends makes the trip to the Prostar still a must for me.
When the good times come back as surely they must soon it will be amazing.
I thought about not renewing, but the positives of the day far outweigh the negatives regardless of the football.

That's what it's all about - your personal match day. Wouldn't be the same if it was always good. The lows are just a different way of enjoying it and make the highs that much better. None of it makes much sense. I'm about to renew our season tickets.

Renewed. Changed my mind, nothing else to do on a Saturday is there? Not necessarily laughing at you SSS, I just know quite a few people over the years (including myself) who have vowed not go go again but when it comes to it people still go The season tickets are holding up well I think because of the match-day pricing structure/process

Saturday day time would be rather dull without watching live football!

So with 2 days to go 700 below last seasons total for the early bird scheme of 1900. Roughly 450 sold in last 3 days. Be interesting to see the final figure.

I'll be interested to hear the official figure at the weekend as I take the 2400 figure with a rather lagrge pinch of salt ! Think there's someserious spinning going on and as the comment on shrewschat suggests the "spin" is that "all is well at the Prostar as season ticket sales show " !!

I was told 1,700 when I renewed yesterday. That's a good total with over 4 months of sales to come. A lot can change in that time.
