I was told 1,700 when I renewed yesterday. That's a good total with over 4 months of sales to come. A lot can change in that time. Early bird last season sales were 1900 if 1700 this season that a shortfall of 10% on like for like.

Maybe, but it's not really like for like as we didn't start selling as early last year and the early bird sales accrued over a longer period. Not sure what that tells us except it's not a straightforward comparison.

Early bird last season sales were 1900 if 1700 this season that a shortfall of 10% on like for like. In an answer on Shrewschat last year, Ian W. referred to a figure for early- bird ST sales used by Rob Bickerton in the programme notes for the Bury first leg Play-off semi-final (7 May 2009). The figure was "over 2300". It's difficult to make the direct comparison because the offer has closed so much earlier this year, but a 10% drop looks very conservative to me. For those of us who haven't renewed yet, there is now no advantage in paying before 30 June. There may, of course be some new ST purchasers who are now able to sign-up. I can't imagine that sales beyond 1 July will be significant because, at £379 (Cat B) it's a big commitment unless you expect to be able to attend every game. Perhaps at least as important as the number of ST sales, is the £figure for sale receipts, so the mix of Adults, Concessions and Junior tickets might also be an area of concern. Well done to all who have kept the faith with STFC. I couldn't bring myself to contribute to Mr Simpson's contract termination payment.

I renewed my families 4 season tickets late on the 31/3, my own pointless gesture. When all is said and done I am a Town fan and I will end up watching them however well or poor they are. We are all in this together, Simpson will eventually get the sack, or turn things around (the former I think). We have got to stick together, the Club and collective support is bigger than the Manager.
True Blue.

I would have thought if we sold whatever number in the end last season lets say 2700 that given the chance to pay less on the early bird special, we ought to be somewhere near that number that's surely the true comparison!

I think the club slipped up in that they did not give enough notice that this years early bird would be much earlier so there would be a good number who could not commit financially and coinciding with the Simpson and poor form factor the timing in hindsight could not have been worse.
I do think some at STFC are not in the real world, who seem to think that paying on direct debit is the answer to everything when it is not.
Something that has not been mentioned but how many more season tickets would we have sold if we were in the top 3?
