... so therefore is it ok for me to come around to your house, sit in your loungue, watch TV, cook myself some food and help myself to anything I want to...? The unofficial Telford United website have stolen one of our pictures. Clients pay us good money for our snaps so in return we can live and eat and stuff. I have a hamster to support. Debts to pay. Walls to paint. Pubs to drink in. Feel free to email the robbing so and so's and nothing seems to be working so far. Please explain to them the copyright law too ! *** TUFC are actually on our side.. its an unofficial site www.telfordunitedfc.co.uk/show_news_item.asp?id=464I'm going to give them a week... then get their server shut down..!

There was a thieving git who stole 3 pics and text from my website to sell some things on eBay! I got sweet FA from trading standards, or the law (fraudulant misrepresentation of goods - possible intention to defraud). eBay a week of hounding to get them to pull the ads too! Go for them! The hamster must not starve!

All the photo's on the internet grounde guide are protected somehow, if you right click on them you get a message telling you that "These photos are copyright of Han Van Eijden 2000-2003"

Not an over reaction. His salary comes from those pictures so why should someone else take them without apying for them?

He needs to make a point on principle if nothing else. if other unofficial websites started pinching his pictures, I'd immagine it would probably hit him financially.

overreaction or what get a life Matt I think the issue is he has a life, which is funded by his photography. If a client wants an exclusive orlimited edition print, how would you react after purchasing such, only to find the whole world can print as many copies as they like? Anyone like half a dozen Mona Lisas?

i think everyone would feel the same as matt if they saw their pic on another site
i'm always knicking pics and if you get caught with a pic and are requested to remove it then remove it you must
most official sites state that pictures can be used as long as they are credited etc

well if youd read the thread youd find that i asked someone nicely to remove it instead of sending loads of emails and posting on the sites local rivals forum why did you all need to know about? back to the point that he's a shrewsbury fan, if crewes unofficial site had used it wouldnt of been posted on here

Lee - he brought it to everyones attention as nothing had been done about it after Matt had contacted the person in question.
I don't agree with picture nicking in principle. If the same situation had occured on the Crewe site then of course Matt would have been in the same position with the same thoughts.

yes a iagree the pic should maybe not of been used and i got it removed didnt i? but i think it had been on crewes site he would of thought the same but we wouldnt have this thread with telford replaced with crewe.
and why bring it too attention on the shrewsbury, a nice post on bucks chat instead of a heading of thieving gobs**tes would have had a better affect than crying on here

As loyalshrew posted he had asked the person in question yet nothing was done. Why put a post on Buckschat when everyone from there is here or looking in, and contributing to posts here!

well the person who runs telfordunited.com has had pc problems and isnt currently on the web - there are 2 or 3 peop,e on bucks chat who do the news now (bowya, sim etc) so posting a nice thread there that didnt call everyone associated with it gobs**tes would of been noted by either of these and the image removed. i asked sim on msn if he could and he did.
i have no problem with him wanting the pic removed just the way he's gone about it on here. its gone now so ill try put it to rest!

Lee, witht the greatest of respect Matt went about it the right way at the start. He didn't get a response from his emails and contact attempts; he's not telepathic(I don't think so anyway so how was he to know the website editor was offline?
