it was taken off the bbc site as they have a few k contract with empics to use their pictures on the site. if you look at the bbc site's they do running photos during the game which are wired from pitchside (or as near) and the bbc post straight to the site.
in fairness to matt he will contact anyone who uses pictures without premission and ask for them to be taken down, there's probably a folder somewhere about the amount of times he's contacted people for taking his photos off shrewsweb. each year we try to do exclsive photos from use on site and programme, and then spend the rest of the year finding who's nicked them.

i have no problems about him wanting to get the picture removed and agree he started off by doing it in the correct manner but,
to come on here and call everyone associated with the site gobs**tes is out of order and shrewsbury fans didnt need to know this

Morning !! Crewe - the official crewe Premium NTL Site CAN use EMPICS pics because we have a contract with them Rivals can use pics from Getty Images because they have a contract with them The Telford United website robbed somebody elses work for their own gain. This is theft. Some people may not agree but if the website manager uses high quality material that makes the site look better and attract more visitors he has a greater pulling power when it comes to getting advertisements. What company wants to advertise when there are no readers...? How we went about this..? We contacted TUFC where Robin was an absolute legend.. lovely bloke. TUFC have done nothing wrong. We phoned, emailed and faxed the contacts on the site for over a week. No reply. So I thought, right, Ill get every one to mail bomb the theiving peeps. Its nothing personal against Telford. People who know me know I only hate Wolves.. I in fact half like Wrexham and Telford have done nothing wrong to me. So please dont go down that route. Over the past year I have got closed down 2websites for breach of copyright. You can ;D but its a serious offence. Lee.... say you own a bricklayers yard.. does that give me the right to drive a tuck up to the entrance, load it with cement and bricks and start building an extension to my house..? Do you expect to walk into a pub to watch a sky game, help yourself to some beers and crisps and then leave without paying...? Read the copyright law.. it interesting reading NEXT ON MY LIST>>>> A STOLEN SHREWS PIC www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?&newsmode=FULL&nid=11032.....stolen from shrewsweb when I did about £500 worth of pictures for Shrewsbury Town FREE of charge including a full set of top quilaity studio pictures similar to that I do for the likes of Inter and Real for the UEFA Champions League. LASTLY.. ask whitters on how I got to know him !!!

LASTLY.. ask whitters on how I got to know him !!! back in the mists of time, i think it 1993 or 4, i started the stfc information page, it was a page that had information on town funnily enough. it came off the back of the stfc mailing list that started about 6-months before.... the page started to increase as people started to tell me they were using it, and it was always strange to get emails from people around the globe who were interested in the goings on of town. as i reacall i was living in london village at the time and was kept up to date by my lovely mum, she would clip all the bits and bobs out of the shropshire star to help keep me up to date with goings on at gay meadow. within these clipping there would be photographs of town playing games..... at the same time at work we delivery of a new fangled device called a scanner, this would allow you to 'scan' photographs into a computer and edit them digitally. you could then take these digital images and thanks to the <img src> tag add them to the 'page'.. this was all excellent and people seemed to like it, even if you could read the text from the other side of the newspaper and all was looking good. then out of the blue i received an email from a person we shall call 'evil photographer'. i thought 'oh no i've been rumbled'.. i emailed said 'evil photographer' back and he was more amazed to see his photos on the t'internet than anything else. following that we meet before a wycombe wanderes game in the crown, and as they say the rest is history.... bally: the bruce springsteen photo is copyright, if mc hammer has not got permission to use it then it is theft.... what's your point?

is it getting boring...?? on saturday i spent about £40 getting rather drunk. Where do you live Bally.. cause under your philosophy I gather its therefore Ok to come to your house, open your door and take what drinks I want for a fab house party at mine then..? Lots of people rob houses in Telford. Ill do the same shall I..? Everyone goes above 70mph mate, but i got caught going 83 and have just been banned for reaching 12 points. People copying music and pictures for private use is ok. The picture was used in a context to add prestigue, innovation, glamour and credibility to the webpage with words stolen from PA copy. I take pics for simple minds. I dont mind people using them for personal stuff. I get angry when they are used for front covers of bootleg cds. PS ill be back here tue as Im doing newcastle v fulham on monday and wont be here to argue against your uneducated points. Like I said.. u dont see premiership on channel 5 as Sky have the rights.. so why should the unofficial website rob stuff from the bbc website who pay us to have the image rights to publish material on the internet..? as do soccernet/ESPN..? meantime.. read this and get back to me www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html xx

Agreed.
Agree to disagree gents, Matt has the legal grounds, Bally has the voice of the majority - that's how things normally end up in the case of copyright. (Almost always, the legal wins anyway) . Just ask anyone who used Napster/ uses Kazaa, or any 12 year old who has been sued by the RIAA for downloading nursery rhymes.
We all abuse copyright either knowingly or unknowingly, the level of damage in many cases is very negligible, but the holder of the rights inevitably wins when you do get caught.
Been there, done that. Almost got sued by Ticketmaster..... ;D

if bally has the voice of the majority then I say all around to his house on friday evening to watch some dvds... ill gladly borrow his credit card and call up dial a pizza and then borrow some of his notes and get lots of beer vodka and wine in for a cracking night...! AND if anyone especially likes any of his wallpaper Im sure he wont mind if we go into his garden shed and borrow some to put on the walls of our own houses... now thats fair isnt it..?
