Bloody hell, cracking question owd lad!
I'll say 'Run' by Snow Patrol, as anyone who witnessed it at one of the years festivals will testify, it is an anthem of epic proportion.
Other front runners would be The Zutons 'You Will You Won't', The Libertines 'Can't Stand Me' and Kasabians 'Club Foot'.

Tough one. My loyalty to the Mozmeister General tells me that I should go for 'First of the Gang to Die', and I really like The Killers 'All these things that I've Done' but it's got to be.................
The Divine Comedy - 'Charmed Life'.

My favourite record this year was the world wheelchair jelly tossing record...
it his held by Joseph Nesbith of Falkirk, who earlier this year tossed a wheelchair-shaped jelly over 14 metres...
fair play to the man....

Didn't even know he was there until about week before and it was to late then exclusively Gutted - it was a sell out and it was the best concert i have been too out side the Em/Xzibit/Cypress Hill/Gunit/50 Cent show in the Mylton keyens Bowl summer before last. Kanye West though - what a ledge did all the tracks from the album apart from Jesus Walks and Familiy Buisness then came out and did them along with a medley off all the beats hes done this year (Brandy, Jay-Z, etc) Twas quite a show. Next im off to see Twister (in Jan), Nerd (for the 3rd time next Summer) and Nas whos coming next year. Also Black Twang and Hopefully Method Man - good year of concerts lined up

It has to be "Malton Seadog" off the Scarborough board for his "Football League - yer avin a laugh" which started 10 seconds before the Towns first went in, and did not stop until the final whistle I had the pleasure of bearing the brunt of it through the mesh fence which seperated the away fans from the Family stand. Even when he went under the stand for a pee you could still hear him - even when he ate or drank he still kept singing A song that will never be forgotten by thosed privaliged to hear it

usually there is something that stands out straight away but not this year..
probably either faithless mass destruction, beastie boys ch-check it out, snoop doog and pharrell drop it like its hot, kellis milkshack or baciallly anything that pharrell has had a hand in, u2's vertigo and metallicas frantic also get a mention...
album of the year easily beastie boys from the 5 boroughs.
