I'm not surprised we sold him - that has been on the cards for a while - or to Chester - they've been interested for a while. What I am surprised about is the timing. It is not impossible that the last relegation place could end up being between Chester and Shrewsbury, and how would we feel then if Chester survive and we go down because Ryan Lowe scored a great goal for Chester?

I think he'll settle really well, and have a great career there. Just think how at home he'll feel listening to all those plastic scouse accents cheering him on. ;D

or maybe he'll pull out of a couple of tackles, leading to Chester losing and them going down instead of us - a more likely scenario I think judging by the goals Southend have scored against us for that very reason.
Its no loss, though I would like to have seen some manager consistently play him as an out and out striker rather on the wing, where he could never cross the ball.

I was present on his debut. Home vs Tranmere Rovers. 1-0 to Salop and the goalscorer was....... ....Ryan Lowe
