I like Trent's post, sums it up for me too!!
I've just seen this thread and also seen it on Chesters site.
No offence to Ryan, he's probably a very nice lad, just not the kind of player i like or more importantly we need at this level of football. I've said on many occasions he's to weak, gives ball away far to often that costs goals, and very indecisive in a breakaway.
I wish him well, but i'm glad he's going.
We need to get in a proper right winger now!!

The lad is well capable of banging goals in, I just hope for our sake this isn't going to be a case of shooting ourselves in the foot. Good Luck to Ryan, Hope he has good success with Chester but not this season

i'm sad to see him go he scored a great goal early in the 2nd half quarter final against Crewe to send us to the semis,he scored an important winner against Margate last season and recently scored the winner against Kiddy away, he was a frustrating player to watch at times but he has been a good servant to STFC, all the best Ryan

Agree with all that's been said. On a good day, he's terrific. He seems to rise to the challenge when it's a higher league team we're up against- like Crewe, as Duncan says- and I recall that Tranmere regarded him as a "danger man" (Quote from Liverpool Daily Post)
I've criticized Lowey for ducking out of tackles , I admit-
But I'm not too happy about him going at this stage.
I can't say why- it's just a feeling.I just feel uneasy! You'll think it's daft and nothing to do with Football as such- but I think there's been too much change.
I think it might hit the lads hard. Mossy was apparently a joker and great company. Lowey is, as has been said, a lovely lad, well-liked by both team mates and fans.
The lads are going to have to summon all their professionalism and get on with it- that's what they're paid to do. But I honestly don't think all this change is going to make them very happy. It's going to unsettle them.
The change could just jolt Lowey into action and into some good form.
I just feel uneasy about all this. I hope I'm wrong.
And I wish Ryan all the best.

last season on a sunday afternoon Margate away played at Dovers ground, RL came on as sub scored with about 10 mins to go 1 nil , Jody Banim played his first game for the club and scored in the last minute with a goal from about 40 yards out after there GK went up for a corner , the ball was cleared JB beat the man on the halfway line and shot www.stfc.fotopic.net/c83804.html

:)Yeah its true!!!! Most inconsistent player in my time at the Meadow and by far the most frustrating!! No loss what’s so ever - and like moss went out from the club doing what he did best!! (with moss being good and helping us win - for Lowe one of his last touches for the club was to hammer another woeful cross into some more unsuspecting fans behind the Lincoln Goal!!!) God Im glad to see the back of him- and hopefully just in time for him to arrive and unsettle Chester and cost them some points Selling one of your worst players to a teams also struggling who we don’t play again affects us little and I have the feeling that this pattern will follow Darby out (injured) - Sheron In Rids out (Injured) - Cowen in Moss out (sold) - Wilkinson in Lowe out (Sold) - Who in??? I bet he gets another forward in before Thursday and in bodes well for keeping Luke for the rest of this season too Peters has done it again Now if we can just con Halifax into a bit of cash for Grant were laughing all the way this season as far as transfers go!!!! But Pricey you wouldn't know a footballer from a pool cue.

Lowe would be well suited to Chester's chaotic don't-know-what's-going-on style perfectly though

Such a frustrating player. Brilliant 1 game, absolutely pants for the next 2. Not quite good enough as an out & out striker, although was a good finisher at times, and inconsistent crossing when on the wing. Still think he was at his best when brought on with 20 mins to go. On balance, think letting him go now (not sure whether will get a fee) is the right decision and a brave step by GP given our limited alternatives (although who knows if he has plans afoot before Thursday's deadline). Thanks for the good memories Ryan - you've scored some great goals for us, made some great goals for us and leave us with our best wishes. On the flip side, there have been many times when I've muttered "F**kin' useless Ryan". Hope it all works out for you at the Diva. Wonder who the usual suspects amongst the keyboard warriors will choose to vent their spleen at now ?
