Hopefully Whitters will be on here to clear things up.
However, if I was you I'd ring the club up again and ask them for the latest

Its states on shrewswebsite that coach travel is free to all supporters. Chris smith is saying season ticket holders, away travel club junior blues and super blues.?? Who's the decision down to?? Awaiting reply.

all bookings are through chris smith so it's no use ringing the club as we don't take bookings.
if chris is saying it's full up then the coaches are full.

Not really the desired outcome here.
Ian - do you know how many coaches we are taking? 3/4?

have booked place on coaches, 3 season ticket holders, 2 non season ticket holders, we will turn up at abbey foregate at 4pm, chris will ask for £9 off the 2 non season ticket holders, he will get shown the webpage, there will be a slanging match, 5 supporters end up not going to bury, 2 supporters saying, f*ck it, or an official statement from the club one way or another, we could ring chris cancel the coach seats, and go by car, but we need to know please, the club will not give an answer

perhaps the club could just say
"if chris is saying it's full up then the coaches are full. "
rather than hanging up on thier fans, all too quick to take cash on a saturday, midweek they just dont want to know

quote from the site... Town manger Gary Peters has spoken about how important the Town fans getting behind the lads and acting as the twelfth man. The offer is open to all Town fans, so get on the FREE coaches on Tuesday and get to Gigg Lane to cheer on Town. Coaches depart Wem 3:45pm Crown, Abbey Foregate 4:15pm Red Lion, Wellington 4:00pm For bookings contact Chris Smith on 01952 604742 between 9-5pm. Normal coach travel rules apply. ... id have thought there would have been about 20 coaches on standby - then perhaps not, this is Shrewsbury Town

The directors set up a scheme and publicised it The boy Whitters got to work and put it in the programme and shrewsweb To be honest it should have been cleared up by now but the directors work during the day and so are unable to clear up the confusion An official club press release was issued on Saturday saying the coaches were free. Nothing has been changed or ammended and nothing has been challenged, despite it being in the press For this reason I suggest that www.shrewsburytown.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10443~623569,00.html still stands and is valid That said the coaches may genuinely be booked up now, and after a great offer there is no surprise there. Having said that I was going by car to start with, and am going by car now, because I hate going by coach

LMAO
What role did the ticketing umbrellor group have to play in this, if any?
Looks like the club doesnt know its arse from its ellbow, its just as well our directors arent involved with Manchester United/Arsenal etc...employing ruck loads of people all over the place...
What a farce.
Feel sorry for Chris Smith, probably just what he doesnt need...

Hi,
Oh no, wahts ging on know??
Firstly the Ticketing Group havent had anything mentioned to them about this. I know the club were going to appeal, through Gary I believe to try and get as many Town fans as possible to go to Bury, to act as a good will gesture as part of the settlement following the re-arranged game. Also the more Town fans who go tonight has two points. One get behind the team with a massive support and gain three points, secondly any differenc ebetween the gate Bury would have expected (figure unknown) and tonights gate will be made up by STFC. So the larger the crowd the less compensation STFC have to payout.
I've only just found out about this story, so will do some digging etc. It seems to me that the intention was honest from those involved, unfortunately the old communication thing has got in the way.
For example it might have been just free coach travell for those who travelled to Bury on the 26th, not everyone, hence why all the coaches are booked now, but I'm only guessing.
