A big FU to all the fans that have been disrespectful to this Legend.
He's made mistakes but we should all be very grateful for his efforts to keep our club alive.
Not sure what the scenes were at the end of the game yesterday but they have certainly hit a nurve.

From reading that message, the positive is that the club is in advanced talks with a party to take over. What we need now is men of quality, steel and the vicars mistress!

“Look at me and how much good I have done over the years, pipe down peasants” you wanted him to resign you wanted hurst sacked you want the club funded well you got 2 out of 3 today, and it seems could have had a different 2 out of 3 wonder what you would be saying had the top 2 on that list happened probably something equally defamatory

We don’t need the Chairman speaking directly to the fans do we? We get being made aware of his views anyway.

Two types of fan on this forum. On the one hand those who see and believe the truth. On the other hand those that see the same thing and hate what they see. The latter you can put in a vacuum and they will still cause an atmosphere

I’ve always asked for the Chairman to make more statements so won’t criticise him when he does. First one since May 23 ish….
Agree it’s somewhat crass to ask him to resign when he’s already desperate to leave. Makes no sense.

As an older fan many of the words in the Chairman's statement ring true to me. Nobody is perfect and I do not think RW deserves a lot of the criticism aimed at him. I would like to offer him my heartfelt thanks for all the good things he has done for our club over many years and wish him all the best for when he steps down as chairman.

Anyone that's says Roland to go to me is delusional in what they think the club can achieve as if he is dragging us down, he built us up in everyway and all the good memories come with him and also the bad which he has never hidden away from. This season Hurst put a list of players and got most of them Roland isn't to blame for the tactics , sub uses, line ups etc and toto coming back he tries hard as he can I believe for the club to go forward okay the budget isn't great but be realistic that he's not a billionaire and is actively for 2 years said he wants to sell the club

In my opinion that is one of the best messages from a chairman that I have ever read, well done Ronald Wycherley.

The scene at the end of the game yesterday was toxic and aimed at him and it was unpleasant.
I don't think he deserves that.
What I do know is they were "loyal" fans too.
They must be or they wouldn't have done a 4 hour trip to watch this omnishambles of a set up lose to a club that play in a stadium akin to an oversized temporary bus station.
What I find hard to swallow in that statement of that loyalty to the club is interwoven to loyalty to him. That doesn't work. Sometimes your real friends are the ones who bring challenge. Dissenting voices have been quietly or publicly sidelined over the years and now there's actually a loyalty deficit to him personally because many people know one or more people who have seen the other side of it, working or volunteering within the environment.
He'll still go down as the best chairman we've ever had, and rightly so.

A new owner now is walking into an environment where the majority want a new owner.

Strange statement to make - If I was bidding for the club I'd be now dropping the price every week going forward

I meant would a potential new owner still be Interested after we have given a new manager a 2 or 3 year contract ? Might it cause them to back off and put things on hold , or will they be happy with this , maybe they are in on it I wish I knew ( I didn't include fans in my comments at all )

I am and always have been very grateful for the efforts the chairman has put in over many years for the benefit of the club. We don't have to look far to see what a lesser chairman could have taken us. The head of any organization always gets criticism from people who have no experience of the job

If as the Chairman’s states we are in advanced negotiations with a new owner, you’d expect them to be at least notified of the new management structure and ideally to be involved
The most obvious thing would seem to be for Moore to take charge in the interim and allow new owners to make a full appointment in the hopefully not too distant future
Todays announcements all seem a bit rushed hopefully some more clarity on the interim management arrangements will follow in the week

Nice to finally hear from him but after that statement I’m beginning to wish I hadn’t - horribly defensive and still blames others. And as if the board would approve his resignation, they’re all men he’s brought in fairly recently so that bit of the statement was just for dramatic effect.
Less crying about things Roland, now work bloody hard to replace the manager and get the sale through 👍
