Given that some people get a bit tetchy on here about “Roland Out” threads or “Hurst Out” threads, can I offer “Moore Out” as a thread?
What benefit or value has Mr Moore brought to the club as Director of Football? I don’t like the model itself, personally, but if we’re having a DoF why oh why did we end up with this individual who seems pretty useless to me?

Yeah the 2nd goal was a bit soft , but when hurst finally made a few subs we matched them for a bit , shame we didn't get sagoe and orielly on
( always wanted to hijack a "board out" type thread and turn it into a match thread just to even things up ) 😝

He said in his own words to not judge him in the first few months but on the progress longer term.
Well 15 or so months in with both the first and youth teams where are we at?

Why does Hurst get a load of slack because of the budget but Moore doesn't? for the first 12 months the majority of the budget was used on SC players contracts and this season we have a reduced budget. He's hardly had a fair crack at it.

I stumbled across a guy on twitter yeaterday , seems to have an unhealthy obsession with blue and amber and me , I mean how sad must you be , also noticed if town win it's always a photo of paul hurst and his barmy army etc , but when town lose its amateurish memes of Micky Moore roland and I always get a mention , pure embarrassing low IQ drivel

Are we due an update from Moore anytime soon on his role and thoughts on how the season is progressing?
It’s pretty easy doing these updates in the close season or when things are going well, but a true worth of them is really in tough times like this when results aren’t going well

To provide reassurance that despite the current rough patch there is still an underlying plan behind what the club is doing and why and progress is being made This is of particular importance after the Cotterill era where the much reported disconnect occurred between the board and club management, and is hopefully something that Moore can provide reassurances on isn’t happening again

Think his last one was early September so a few weeks to go before were told what's been happening in the last 13 weeks.

Same as Hurst, if a new owner wants to bring in something different, their own people. MM, if he can get the home grown academy players first team ready and bring in the prospects the way he's described things working would be doing what I'd like to see.
Seems to have been hampered so far with the SC player hangover and PH bringing in old favourites.

That's the contract he's signed up too , I'd be questioning him he wasn't confident of seeing that out That’s a fair point but nobody in football (or elsewhere) can expect people to wait that long before they question whether or not things are working. There needs to a clear upward trajectory, even if only slight, and as things stand we are now in a worse position than a year ago.

I'd argue that the MM signings - whether he wants to call them 'developmental' or not - (I'd call them something else - a waste of time) haven't impressed. Mata, Idowu, Biggins, Tulloch all spring to mind. I don't actually understand what the point of signing them was.
Rightly or wrongly, SC bought in a core of quality - perhaps his ethos was correct but not the size of the contracts. Currently, we seem to be gambling on having lots of players with low wages which when things aren't going well, I can't see working well for squad motivation/morale.
I wonder if we're thinking of calling back any of our loan players? They can't be any worse they we already have especially given the circumstances we are in. We are in dire straits here and need all the help we can get!!

I remember at the time someone said about 8 of cotterills players could walk into any championship side apart from the fact they couldn't and didn't , im Not sure they would have liked the pay cut 😝

If funds really are as tight as they're claimed to be, then there doesn't seem a whole lot of point in paying Hurst and Moore's salaries, given Hurst's clearly been given essentially full control. I'm not sure either could particularly complain if they were the one to lose their job based on performance, or indeed if they both did.

One thing I will say about Moore that I have been thoroughly disappointed with is that everything I have seen is that his incomings all seem like an ‘old boys network’
Taylor and Lloyd spring to mind straight away. I want to see a bit more proactivity from the DOF to be honest.
I want him going out and finding players we can improve but at the same time reap the benefit of their improvement before a bigger move comes calling.
So far all I hear and see is how good it was at Cheltenham and who he brought through there in terms of one manager and a few players.
The In The Stiffs two parter with him was a real eye opener into this side of his world and I can say I wasn’t really fussed by it!

The first choice ( hurst manager ) wasn't an option after cotterill bottled it and sneaked off Along came dof & Taylor Taylor despite a crazy imbalanced squad , smaller budget and the worst injury crisis ever did enough to keep us up , but fans still Cried And then hurst was an option Whether the dof is on hold is debatable But where are the shouts for let's return to a head coach , manager isn't working 😝😝

How about Moore gives us an update on how our academy loanees are progressing?
That would be a start.
