Think our only hope is having a really good January transfer window. My contacts have already given me a name we should look at. Kieran Wakefield at Alvechurch. There’s good players in non league that’s within our budget.

Why doesn’t Roland invest some proper money and give us a bit of a chance?

I mean proper investment from the tens of millions sitting in his bank account, to give his football club a chance of competing.

It’s all been spent on a new team coach, shiploads of Umbro kit, Botox and 5 star hotels (allegedly) We didn’t spend a penny on the new team coach exactly, our coach providers are Longmynd Travel, they dont even have a contract with us apart from week to week, and yet Cotterill threatened the female in charge that if they didnt update the coach to one of premiership quality he would see we ditched them, so longmynd made the monumental decision of having to spend serious money on a newer coach, cotterill then threw his toys out of the pram after the chairman was the first to view the new coach, he gave the lady at longmynd a tirade of abuse wanting to know why he wasnt the first to see it, he also demanded they change the colour of the seats, at this point the lady from Longmynd became a hero and told cotterill where to go

I , (and you , Roland, everyone on here), should have put our shirt on bit coin a few years ago. As far as I know, none of us did. Around that time the club was ticking along nicely, a big bank balance in reserve, top half finishes, a stable situation. Things are different now.

Would those calling for PH's or MM's head care to explain why we should throw them and whatever they have plans to do in the January transfer window out? By now they must have affordable ideas in mind, the January window is where they have the chance to prove their worth.

Not really been a success though has it? Only real decent players are on loan from Premier clubs - and we dont play them too often despite looking to be better than what we start matches with.

Is it me, or are we always waiting for a transfer window to save our a55es? If the transfer windows were being done correctly, we wouldn't have this ridiculous facade every August and January but adding 1 or 2 players instead
Wait until the end of the window and then we'll be given the 'were waiting for PL loan players to decide where they want to go' card.
Get them and then not play them ...
Repeat

Problem is new management would want to spend money we haven't got. Present management came up with the Benning of last season, swapped expensive Marosi with a good replacement, and, no doubt, have done their homework for the January window.

Our summer recruitment, even when allowing for the budget issues, was nothing more than a disaster.
Savin and Lloyd have been okay at best, Hoole below par, Nsiala and Marquis a shambles, Rossiter and Kayode mostly crocked, Gillead and Ojo poor panic signings, and the loan players who we can’t get anything out of.
This gives absolutely zero confidence that we’ll see some quality added in January, if we even bother.

Marquis...poor really...rossiter...seen him against derby in the pre season friendly....put himself about, and worked hard, and looked ok... Watched him the other night at Bristol, and he was awful.....Dropped off big time in my opinion,or he's carrying an injury🤷🤷

I have a horrible feeling January will come too late. Especially if we do what we normally do and wait for the leftovers at the end of month.
There probably isn't going to any funds anyway.

There’s good players in non league that’s within our budget. If we are going for talent in the non league then Kai Evans at Nantwich is one hell of a player at that level. Released by our Welsh neighbours but looks to me like they made a big mistake based on what I’ve seen.

The PL players need a run of games to help them develop and improve and gain league 1 experience which as you say just isn’t happening. Using them ad hoc isn’t helping anyone especially us.
