Probably be quite a few changes and hopefully Hursty will keep same formation. Big away following from Blues.

Hopefully we rotate massively, I’d even play the youth team tbh, least important game of the season

Think Hoole and Pierre are on International duty so not many options to change things in defence. Hope he puts a youngster or two into the mix to give them a taste of mens football. That's about the only use for these games nowadays.

They've been given the West Stand and sold out, around 3,100. I'm sure they would want the North Stand too but suspect the police don't want to give them any more

That's about the only use for these games nowadays. Not sure if it's been announced but think they will possibly miss 3 matches. On top of Birmingham and Crawley on Saturday, Town play Exeter on Thursday 17th. But just prior to that Hoole would have played in Slovakia on Tuesday evening and Pierre on Monday night in Curacao. For Brum - Nurse you presume is going to come back very slowly given that was his first start in 2 years so possibly won't start. Is Nsiala back fit? So possibly same formation but with Nsiala and Benning in for Nurse and Pierre? Hurst didn't show any desire to play the kids in the previous game, although that was earlier in the season. Presume those who are shorter on minutes recently will play at least a part - Sagoe, Bloxham, Perry & O'Reilly Otherwise is it a chance to get used to a new formation at least as an option even if it isn't going to be used all the time.

If he’s fit I’d like to see Winchester given a go in goal.

I can't ever remember hurst taking these games like they were less important than the league , I am struggling to predict the team , our lack of defenders really is starting to bite

personally i would rest as many players as we can get away with, whilst putting on whoever our second choice keepers is. this is cup is not a priority, resting players and not getting them injured is.

Pity we can't recall any of the 5 youngsters that are currently on loan.
Would be a good game for them to play in.

I'll try and go to this, maybe similar formation with different faces.

Nice timing, a break from the relentless lack of league points could be just what's needed right now.

It's a free hit, an experiment of sorts with the team.
Toto is back I think, wonder how Shipley's ankle has shaped up.
Would think we've see Young in goal for this one but you never know.

I'd be wrapping the feeneys, Nurse, Savin and Rossiter in cotton wool and not letting them anywhere near this game.
Get some kids involved.

I’m regretting buying tickets for this now - could be the highest scoring game I’ve ever seen. Birmingham only need to get 14 to beat the Marine game.

From what we saw Saturday Gillied is a decent wingback. Could do a job at RB if needs be. Providing we don't have any injuries we should be fine. We really need another international player, losing two players every other month is having an impact.

Has no one told Birmingham fans that we boycott this competition? Were they putting in a B team a few years ago? How the fairly mighty have fallen. Villa's the big team these days
