I always say that for comments like that from a manager, the reaction from fans will be different depending on how the team is doing. If we are doing well then it's strong management, no player is bigger than the team. If we are struggling then it's a sign that players are unhappy and the manager is losing the dressing room Unless the full question and answer is stated in the Star (I can't tell behind a paywall), we don't know the context. It could have been the Star asking something like "you've got players coming back injury and may have to leave some out of the squad, how will you manage that?" and Hurst replies with "it's a nice problem to have and if players are left out, I don't want any sulking". It's a bit different from a headline of "Paul Hurst issues warning to 'sulking' Shrewsbury stars" News reporters are these days always looking to create a 'massive headline' about any minor comment (and the Shropshire Star are no different). I'm sure the question was meant as the former but can quite easily be turned into the latter in this day and age with reporters.

As much as some people don't like it, journalists are there to sell a story and the fact we are talking about it suggests he's done his job. The reality is in our case, the fans are questioning why TOR (and Perry to a lesser extent) did not play last week, Westbury asked the question on Saturday and less than a week later he's printing a headline about players being warned not to sulk. People will draw their own conclusions, I'm sure Westbury know's that and I suspect Hurst does too.

Having drawn a blank against Charlton and none of our midfield being particularly threatening, I fully expect Hurst to restore TOR to the starting XI. I'd go for Savin; Hoole, Feeney M, Feeney J, Benning; Gillead, Winchester, Castledine, O'Reilly, Sagoe; Lloyd.

Injuries not withstanding, I hope Hurst can settle on his best starting eleven before too long.
I think the back 4 is the only area of the team that now looks settled.

Yes, definitely needs to sort his best eleven out sooner rather than later.... totally agree

I’d be interested in reading the article about sulking if somebody could post it up here? It’s behind the bizarre paywall sadly. Not sure who the Shropshire Star think they are. I'm afraid I can't due to the reason you have given.

As for the line up, it's a difficult one, we need the protection in the midfield to counter any pacey wingers to try and support the right and left backs.
So do we stick or twist and go 4,4,2 with Lloyd and marquis up front.? To see if we can start scoring some goals?
I'm just glad I'm not a manager as it's not my headache!!

Cannot see him changing that much to be honest. Maybe with all the talk about O'Reilly he may give him a start, but I doubt it. Hurst said there were 2 doubts so that could force a change, otherwise I'd expect Pierre & Nurse to miss out on making the squad; but I'd rather Nurse get on the bench and Nsiala miss out.
Savin Hoole Feeney Feeney Benning Ojo Winchester Gillead Castledine Sagoe Lloyd
Subs: Young, Nsiala, Shipley, Perry, O'Reilly, Bloxham, Marquis

Regarding O'Riely who was our last big time Charlie? Toney? Is anyone suggesting O'Riely is a big time charlie? Think the suggestion is that he doesnt quite fit into what the team needs right now and work on him to get him to what we need him to be.

Interpreting a somewhat vague comment from Hurst and jumping to conclusions.

Was it mentioned somewhere that O'Reilly had picked up an injury a couple of weeks ago?
