The price of first class stamps went up by 14% last October (from £1.10 to £1.25), another 8% in April (to £1.35) and will rise another 22% on October 7th (to £1.65). That's a 50% increase in a year! And they claim it's all because they have to deliver on a Saturday ..... Another privatisation success story.

Besides which, the employees have contributed to their pensions why should they be thought of as lesser individuals just because they work for the Royal Mail

Besides which, the employees have contributed to their pensions why should they be thought of as lesser individuals just because they work for the Royal Mail Royal Mail had i think three defined benefit/final salary schemes so the funds come from the company for those, only those working more recently have a different system. Pilch would know, and my attempt at Pilch baiting has clearly failed as he has not replied *** sigh***
