Regular surface and air mail is becoming an ever diminishing requirement and it is therefore hard to imagine anyone being overly upset about any increases in stamps.
I probably send no more that a dozen letters per year these days.

I'm probably one of the few people who still write letters and send postcards. I often get feedback from my friends to say how nice it's too get a letter. I send about 15 Christmas cards and last year was the first timeiv sent them second class. I also write to my Aunty in Australia. Considering the regular hikesin prices I sometimes wonder if the post office wants people posting letters

Must keep the shareholders happy. yes another big pay out for them and then into admin and ditch the letters completely, sack half the staff and concentrate on parcels only

I send out pretty much zero normal letter these days, and that is before they add 30p to the cost.
The biggest issue to me is sending (and paying for receiving) programmes that are a little more expensive due to extra weight.
The last one i paid to receive was £2.50. That was 50p for the programme plus 2.00 to receive it...... the amount needed I'm rarely likely to find anyone with more than one from the same seller so I'm good business for the Post Office.

I spent over 2 years reporting someone for re-using the same stamps 2 or 3 times a week , for a couple of years, I have photographic evidence, complained and complained and no one was interested , I just gave up in the end, bosses are too busy working out how to rip off the postmen for a few pence each day
