It is Crucial that Hurst finds a system to give extra protection to our right and left backs to counter Wrexham's wingers, I expect Wrexham to come out of the blocks and throw everything at us including the kitchen sink ,to see if we cave in and they get an early goal We have to get through the first twenty minutes and not let them score otherwise it is going to be a very long 90 minutes. Perry and Winchester are going to have to work there socks off as holding midfielders, I'm not sure how Winchester will cope with Wrexham's physicality It will be a tough test for Castledine, O Reilly and Lloyd who must try to take some of the pressure of the holding midfielders and defence. Town will have to work very hard in a physical game, we must press all over the park and towns ball distribution and retention needs to improve. The new system against Orient seemed to do that with Gilliead and Perry. It did I don't why I put Winchester instead of Gilliead but against Orient they did not face the kind of pressure they will against Wrexham. They will have a lot less time on the ball and Wrexham have two good wingers plus a more physical forward line up. I think this game has come too soon for towns new midfield line up and the change of center back

just one quick word, there has been some great banter on this thread from both sides, I've only had to deal with one post back earlier in the week and that wasnt too ott anyway
so a big thanks to all of you for that
keep the banter going, dont cross the line and get personal, we are all better than that
come on town ;-)

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but it's on the telly I believe? Yes Sky Sports+ and there's only 3 matches on the whole of Saturday. Exclude the pointless Nations League and our match may be the most watched match in the world 🤷♂️

I can see Ryan Barnett having a very good game against us on Saturday, I remember him putting in some good showings for us in the B Team cup, and he was the best player for Solihull Moors in the National League play off final against Grimsby a few years back, another one we let go of too easily.

I think this game has come too soon for towns new midfield line up and the change of center back Think the lack of cover is partly why we haven't seen more of Sagoe Jnr just yet. And possibly why we might see more of Bloxham playing centrally. Difficult line up for Hurst to pick with such limited options and fitness. If Winchester is fit I imagine he will cover RB, with Gilliead and Perry doing ok last weekend. Or Gilliead be will at RB. The rest more or less pick themselves

Mr Barnett is currently enjoying the best football of his career. An excellent player, his crosses are consistently very good. Bags of pace too. I only see a very well drilled high press troubling us. This team is used to teams sitting off and hoping to hit a sucker punch. We had a whole season of it in NL. I agree you need to score first. That would change the mood and give your players belief. I have a feeling it will be a tight game but with be able to bring on the likes of Fletcher and Mullin we should have enough to win. If you want to see how its done (beating us at home) see Bradford and Tranmere at home last season. Smash and grabs. Although we weren't in great form for either games. You'll have the privilege of being inside a packed stadium with an atmosphere. Remember atmosphere's? Its what winning teams demand. Drink it in lads, drink it in. This will not be the usual dreary library you're used to. Just a quick note before I go; No pet goats or pigs will be allowed inside the stadium, please make alternative arrangements. Straw chewing is permitted though. Enjoy your big day out.

Our daughter has been digging around our ancestry. I knew I had some welsh relatives, but I'm welsher than I thought. In fact I'm more welsh than english!
Now lettuce see, ooze odds on favourites to win on Saturday, after all, I want to be on the winning side......right, come on you dragons. I only bought a season ticket at Shrewsbury by accident, I'm not very good on the computer, I meant to buy some new slippers off amazon and got confused.

Have any of us actually managed to get tickets for the circus? Wrexham fans included? We always sell out. We'll help push you towards being able to do that when we visit your farmlands later in the season. You're welcome by the way. You sound like a non attending "fan". The worst of the worst.
