Roland out! Simple as. Not Hursts fault this. Need an organised protest sooner than later. Give it a rest! Roland is prepared to sell, but can't just magic up bids. Or do you want him to just clear his desk and take his cheque book and leave us up the creek without a paddle? If you believe the owner of the opposition today then selling STFC should be easy (based on a recent podcast). But for some reason Roland struggles find anyone

Just cos he wanted an extra million or so! Where's the good of the club there!

I'm sure the Feeney 'twins' were going to be our first choise central defenders.
Of course the loan curse of injuries struck again before one could play a game. Let's just hope t'other Feeney isnt out for long.

I'm afraid this type of scoreline (and worse) is going to become a regular feature of the season.

Are we going to hear the same old s**te about RW every week? Boring hell Fans are targeting the right person to blame. As we tumble down into league two do you want fans to clap happily and look for positives as we get battered at home like today? I make no apology for banging the drum to get Roland to sell up so we can actually have a season in league one where we feel like we belong instead of hanging on the coat tails and hoping there are four worse teams than us every year.

Well Pierre was never good enough 2 years ago, desperation to bring him back, even worse to keep hold of him.

Floretshrew. Is that really the truth or just a wish. I know nothing as I have no contacts dealing with the club. Obviously you know so much more than I do. If you could tell me what you know and not hint I could sleep so much better

That performance was a disgrace. That’s probably the worse defending I’ve seen since supporting Salop. It could have been 10. Can Hursty bring in another couple of central defenders. Doubt it now. Afraid the recruitment looks poor yet again.

Ladies and gentlemen I declare the meltdown open , if only that Roland Wycherley header had crossed the line and made it 2-2
Funny how it's nothing to do with hurst 😝
at least we are losing more excitingly than last season
have fun guys , I'll be back later to pick all the teddies up 🧸🧸🧸
For what it's worth , Savin was my mom today , pretty decent game 👍 We had a decent go at it , so close not to get back at 2-2 but then a scrappy goal and we folded , shame we lost feeney which didn't help and it might mean we have to chase another cb this week

Well Pierre was never good enough 2 years ago, desperation to bring him back, even worse to keep hold of him. I actually thought Pierre was ok-ish at times last season. Enough to make me think he would be a positive addition to the squad anyway, but certainly not first choice. Nsiala on the other hand....... Hopefully he'll never play for us again, he was beyond awful today.

If you could tell me what you know and not hint I could sleep so much better I only know the one side of the story, heard from the son's best mate directly. It's enough for me to make my mind up. Two sides to all stories but had enough of RW.

Embarrassing performance from Nsiala AGAIN. I stand by my post earlier in the week. I’ve watched him now 5 times live and he’s been rubbish every time.
Our centre back options are a serious concern & I don’t think Morgan Feeney is much better.

I thought at least with Hurst the squad would be super fit, but seeing comments regarding Toto and Pierre that doesn't appear to be the case, what have they been doing all pre season?

That late run from Jade-Jones which completely outpaced our defence was an embarrassment - and he was only on the bench, being a product of their academy.
Odoh - ex Harrogate. Randall - ex Exeter. Poku - ex Colchester.
They are out there!

Poku - ex Colchester. They are out there! A quick google will tell you that Odoh cost £200k, Randall cost £1m, Poku cost a “substantial six-figure fee”. Hardly hidden gems. Our problems start and finish with the fact that our budget simply isn’t competitive in this division.

They’ve paid £300k for Conn Clarke & Odah was similar this summer

Flicking through the fixtures through the rest of August and into September and its hard to see where points might be coming from, as we're up against a few sides who have started the season well. The home game v Orient already starting to look important and I'm already a bit fearful of the outcome of the away game at Wrexham
What is pretty clear with this season is that its very unlikely that any new investment is coming in this season, and there is no "plan B" that was around last season with Hurst available during the season which gave us a fairly easy option once Taylor was moved on.
Do wonder quite were we go if we're in the bottom four come the end of September, and what the atmosphere will be like then.
