I do t know if this is the right place but it appears that RW is p**sing off volunteers who do valuable jobs for nothing for the club to the point where they are quitting.
If that is RWs principle to bring this club back from the brink then he should frankly sell up and f**k off so that people who love this club can get us back into the black and steer us to where we want to be.
RWs standing g at this club stinks.

I read about this yesterday too - we don't know both sides in fairness, but it sounded like a volunteer was treated terribly by "somebody above" If we're p**sing off loyal and generous fans of the club, who else is getting p**sed off to the detriment our of club... |

Exactly , I saw the post on Facebook from the guy , I even replied , he clearly said he was not going to name names and yet already we've had one added presumably for dramatic purposes , bit like an itv drama Any news on the swedes or burton ? It's anonymous and doesn’t give any details who’s asked him to leave and why. Certainly no mention of RW so how do you jump to the conclusion Roland hacked him off? |

I also saw the post from a rather disillusioned fan and volunteer. Obviously has nothing to do with any sort of takeover or investment but gives a clear indication of the culture at the club towards a lack of respect and appreciation for those who care most.

I did see that the fan said that if he’d quoted and invoiced for the work it would’ve been in the region of £12k. But only received a ‘thanks but go away’ from this unnamed senior figure at the club.

I have one or two constructive things to say, then I probably won't be back on this thread. 'Swedes approach facts or fiction / all things Burton' isn't an important and topical subject - it may or may not have happened and Burton has been taken over - that's all in the past now.
The important and topical subject, bearing in mind our current owner has no doubt had his resolve to reluntantly sell the club reinforced by being required to stump up millions to keep the club solvent, is who IS going to take us over or invest?
Do our CEO and DofF have objectives to make us look like a good investment? In other words, the future, rather than the recent past.
The irrelevance of this thread can be seen by how it so quickly degenerated into a one sided Roland "knocking" thread. One sided views from Facebook. The club are surely too tight fisted/short of the readies to push away a volunteer doing £12,000 of free work? My speculation is that either the work didn't meet Health and Safety rules or some sort of recompense, (an advert in the stadium or programme?) was sort.

My favourite follow up to a post knocking people for posting speculation is a sentence beginning ‘My speculation is…’.
I’d like to see just one example of Roland having an engagement with a third party with any kind of seniority - be that serious potential investors or just the senior appointments he himself makes at the club - prove fruitful. I hope I see it this season.

Burton have signed their 15th (that’s fifteenth) player of the window tonight, a 25 year old from Chorley on an undisclosed.
They’ve signed more players this window than we’ve got players in total…

For God's sake read your last post criticising Burton for signing someone from 6th tier Chorley. That's my response. They're signing players for development we're looking totally desperate. Just keep believing everything Roland Liam and Dibbly Dobbly tell you. We are potentially walking into a nightmare but apparently we're in "safe hands". Absolutely laughable |

It looks like Burton are trying to emulate Posh, buying lower league players who have show promise with the hope a few go for big money and then build on that. Sort of what we were looking to do but the issue is without money to get decent lower league players through the door we can’t emulate that, we just have to hope clubs have overseen the quality in a player who we get on a free or PH and Doig can bring them through.
We seriously need investment asap. Whether that’s a new board member or a new owner

As there is a good chance we may have been targeted by Nordic Football Group (or whatever they are called) then of course a number of us are going to be interested in what is going on there and comparing it to what is happening at Town. So of course Town will be mentioned here as comparisons are made.
