That sign from Burton depresses me more than anything.
What a mess we are in.

you are talking about the last time they appeared , they have been here 4 times in total wasting our time So they had approached the club 3 times previously and then on the 4th occasion wanted exclusivity rights? Maybe it's just me but that doesn't quite add up, I would have thought that anyone who wanted exclusivity rights would have done so from the outset, not on the 4th time of asking. guessing they made an initial approach, came and visited the club then did some due diligence (probably visited another few times) and then asked for exclusivity which would have allowed them full access to wrap up a deal. Only reason i can imagine this wasn't granted would be someone else was already close to a deal, otherwise why refuse?

Any corporate deal is a rollercoaster and usually off and on half a dozen times in the process, this one was more complex because there was a middle man who turned out to be more fistful of dollars than marriage guidance, but no point in trying to delve straight in to who that was.

Is this the same Delves that enjoyed many a game last season from the comfort of the Directors box, sat next to Roland?

Yes, I know who he is. Just making the point that the man who has apparently had a huge falling out with Roland was happily sat next to him on several occasions at matches just last season. Even after that date shown as his resignation on that website.

I don't believe Burton's signings have been anything special yet. Yes it would be nice to see more signings through the door by now. But Last time Hurst was here, I don't remember his signings being of a wow factor and we did pretty well, so I'm prepared to be patient.

We had loads of signings coming in at this stage last season and the following weeks. Sometimes we were signing 2 or 3 a week. Most of them just werent up to the job.
Maybe Hurst is holding off and actually going to get better quality.
I'd take that over last summer's fiasco.

Why would he resign as a Director? Maybe RW, who was apparently bankrolling the club with his own money, expected him to do likewise and he didn’t fancy it? As for the comments made by a fan of a Welsh team, we didn’t lose a player to Burton, we sold a player to them who could not get into our team except as cover for injuries. Good business I would say - if you have something you deem as surplus to requirements, find a mug to buy it off you!

My point, in 20 plus years how many Directors has Roland gathered around him to share the burden and bring on as takeover candidates? Simple answer is 1 who turned up (luckily) within the last two years.
Take a look at other similar sized clubs like Burton (before the take over) and Lincoln.

Well they tried to get Messi but he wouldn't leave the USA, although the head of the Scandinavian consortium could certainly afford him many times over. Their consortium have made it clear that they intend to grow year by year, and not do it the Wrexham way. The other point of note is with one exception, the last one in, they have bought the players that they want rather than scrap around with free transfers that fit the wage bill. They will finish well above us next season
