I didn’t think the miss Tunmise had against Wrexham could be worse.
He proved me wrong yesterday. Wow, just wow.
That said, certainly a player in there. I’d imagine if PH & CD work hard with him, could improve his finishing and overall positioning, etc.

Agreed, I've watched it on replay several times now and I still can't work out how he missed. However like you I think we've got a player there,PH also likes wingers

I've been critical, but his miss notwithstanding, I thought he was superb yesterday. Drilled at the back and some lovely passing and dribbling to get us going in attack, his best game for us by a distance

He also had another chance that whilst not as easy was still a great opportunity.
I like him, he's direct, quick and exciting to watch. Final ball isnt consist enough but he has a lot of time on his side and has potential to make us some money in the future with the right coaching.

He was very good at Bolton too. Has all the skills and his tactical awareness will improve with coaching and more game time.

Could be our very own Adama Toure. He was hardly lethal in front of the goal!

Perhaps he could practice it in training.

I’m trying to be fair to him, in relation to the first and biggest miss, by saying perhaps he was worried about colliding with the post?

Coming from league of Ireland into league 1,is very difficult....but he's done very well in last few games, and glimpses in others.......very much worth keeping

I’d keep him, let Hurst and Doig have a full pre season with him and then show him some faith once the new season starts. I think the basics are there and he has a chance to play regularly at this level. He just needs to take it and work very hard over the summer

I suspect he’s one of our cheaper players and as he’s still under contract I wouldn’t actively be trying to offload him, but I certainly wouldn’t be planning on him being an integral part of next season’s plans.
He offers a bit of pace and directness, but we should be looking for that in our new signings anyway.
If we go into next season with just him and Bloxham as our RW options I’d be disappointed.

Apologies you’re right, he’s out of contract but we can extend. If he’s not on much I’d be inclined to extend.

I totally agree with you on that , I think this coming weekends starting xi will tell a few tales I did think of mentioning appearance bonuses on an earlier post but convinced myself a non essential 3 points is still essential as far as hurst goes , I would Go as far as predicting sobowale is in the plans for next season even if as as backup

He's a guy that can run with the ball well, would likely make a good full back in a 442 formation but like a lot of full backs will never get anywhere near the goal and so his finishing may not be needed.

I'm guessing that PH will turn a few of the 'not good enough' players into something half decent after a summer of working with them.
Part of it will the limitations he will have with the budget so will have to get on with doing so, but also that he is a decent coach.

He has the ability and even those that don't go in provide a much needed upgrade to the excitement.

Simply not good enough for me
Pace 20, Creativity and decision making 1.
Marginally better than Idowu who looks like he won a competition to be in the side but I'd cut my losses with all the Irish signings if I were Hurst.
Considering Fleetwood have a partnership with Waterford and first refusal on their players, it's telling that even they dodged these two bullets.

If the team that came out in the last two games were as fit and drilled as the team the last time Hurst was here we would have had a very good season. If the team that come out at Wycombe at home had the same prep we might have managed 17th a bit more comfortably. We could have worse players next season and have a better season.

Admittedly I haven't seen him in the last few games but my thoughts on him are that he's not good enough but liked by some Town fans because he offers something slightly different & unpredictable in a squad which is so dull. We have so few players who can excite fans so having someone who looks like they have no idea what they are going to do next is an appeal.
I'd be surprised if we keep him but if we do, I'd be even more surprised if he was anything more than a squad player and someone who comes on with 20 minutes to go, to add a bit of chaos

Well,if he had 2 very good games against Bolton and Charlton away, why the hell would you let him go???you don't let big strong, fast players go to quickly, they don't come round to often these days... granted he needs more coaching...but that's what Hurst and Doig are there for.....we will see tho🤷🤷

To those saying he's not good enough dont forget we were saying the same about Udoh a few years ago. Became a decent player with decent coaching. We could have just cast him aside as 'not good enough'.
