It reads to me as if some thought went into it so possibly the reason for the delay. yes, certainly not a quickly knocked up sentence or two just to tick boxes, I think too many underestimate our club. It certainly shows they care 100%

The reasoning behind this whole shenanigans is money talks and rolls upwards. I really dgaf for the Premier league and have never watched a game involving a so called Big club unless Town were involved. Nowt I can do but sign any protest that stands against it

Not a big fan of the moaning about the minimum ticket price, but at least they’ve condemned it.

Good to see the club speak out and largely agree with it, well done to them.
Agree with the above poster that not quite on board with the club criticising clubs for offering cheap tickets to fans.

We now await the sweeteners like increased prize money, more televised games oh and the biggie, I think the prem clubs might be more open to completing the payments to EFL clubs that stumbled last year.
Problem is this just affects the now not the future of the game, once gone gone forever.

It's not just the financial aspect, there's too much sacred history in this competition to throw away

Well dont the club on this. A decent statement as well. Let's hope all FL clubs and lower stick together and get this ridiculous idea binned.

According to the FA, 'all parties' were consulted on this before a decision was made.
Someone is clearly telling porkies.

According to the FA, 'all parties' were consulted on this before a decision was made. Someone is clearly telling porkies. Not so sure about "clearly"; unless I misread the FA response, it said that the EFL was REPRESENTED on the committee at which the proposals were discussed and what IS clear is that it DOESN’T STATE THAT THE PROPOSALS WERE AGREED at the meeting. This is disingenuous at best but perhaps more accurately described as downright dishonest.

Three managers there who come across as self absorbed and small minded, and none of whom are likely to still be managing in the country after about the next three years.
None of these three teams even played an FA Cup replay this season the bloody idiots 😂
I’m sure they’ll be equally as quick to condemn the expansion of the Champions League, or the Club World Cup, but I won’t hold my breath.

I don't see how the Prem clubs can say it's to 'protect their players' when the biggest clubs have 100 players on their books every year...

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are set to play in a pre/post-season friendly in Melbourne, Australia at the start of May as part of the Global Football Week three days after the Premier League season comes to an end.
It is never about the fixtures or the players, always money, time and time again.
We're being lied to.

As always and the worse thing is that they think we are too stupid to realise it.
Foreign owners, managers, and players have been a bad thing for too long. They don’t understand what history means to the fans and they don’t care enough about our national teams either.
Everything that is happening has been inevitable for years.

It's a cold calculated decision. They pushed it too far with super league, but everything up to that point is fair game.
Expect more.

Just beginning to wonder if they’ve gone too far this time. Pretty well condemned by all managers, pundits and fans across the leagues including the premiership…… big guns like Andy Burnham on board. Talk of questions in parliament even amending the Football Governance Bill as early as this Tuesday in Parliament…… can’t see how the powers can just ignore this.

Sooner the Super League starts and they pee off and play each other 8 times a season all round the world the better. Just ban loans from Super League Clubs.
"Fans" will soon get bored of it
