This club right now is an absolute embarrassment and Taylor and Moore need to be shown the door tonight. I’ve just watched Taylor for the last 90 minutes point at the defenders and goalkeeper and point at the air telling them to whack it long. This is anti-football, no tactics, no discipline, no coaching. There is no quality in this team that is being utilised at all. If you are a young striker and looking to go out on loan then you should avoid this club like the plague because you will get no help whatsoever and a coaching staff that’ll have you standing upfront trying to battle 6 foot 4 centre backs for the ball all the time and getting blamed for not scoring.
But that’s me done, if fans want to clap along and cheer that style of football and applaud a club that continues to stagnate that’s fine but I won’t buy another ticket until we are run professionally again with something on the pitch to enjoy.
I’ve watched this club for 16 years and cannot be bothered to turn up.
Moore and Taylor need to be shown the door tonight.

Nothing in it between the two teams, Wrexham their chance and we missed several excellent opportunities. Hope to be @ there next week vs Stevenange.

Take what I’m about to say with a pinch of salt as I realise emotions are high straight after kick off and I’ve just got back home.
That was such a missed opportunity it’s hard to put into words. Yes sobowale should have scored in the first half, but the second the second half kicked off there was team looking to win it and one team trying not to lose. This was epitomised when Shipley had a throw in when we were 1-0 down and it him a minute or so to throw it in because he had no one to aim for.
The tactics are so so so negative you know as soon as we go 1-0 down it’s probably curtains.
Small credit to Taylor he noticed this and went 4 at the back in the 88th minute where we finally put some pressure on them.
Go down fighting, these negative tactics are an absolute mood killer.
Credit to Wrexham on a good result, they were by far the better footballing team but we had the best chances, how we didn’t score is criminal.
Not blaming anyone here apart from this ridiculous defensive five at the back nonsense, stop it now and start playing some football.

dunkley picked up man of the match , you could tell he was fuming at the late missed chances , I have a feeling he might have ripped perrys head of in the changing room , he was very upset we lost to Wrexham and made it known he didn't like them , and the focused on Stevenage Saturday about how they are going to show us how they deserved to wear the badge , great emotional speech , I can see us being up for this game too 👍

Personally think Dunkley was the best defender on the pitch by an absolute country mile. If only his team mates were as good at doing their jobs as he is at his.

Nobody deserves any credit.
Pathetic performance against a League Two team in a derby game.
I’ll also be taking some time off from watching Salop. Depressing team with a depressing style of play.

We were in the game until the end but you can’t miss the chances that we missed and expect to win matches. I must admit that I pretty well gave up when I saw Bowman go off

Nothing between the two teams, but they always looked like they would nick a goal and that’s where we fall down.
I’ll admit I’m annoyed no reinforcements came in last week especially upfront considering we have needed 2 in since the start of the season.
What worries me more than anything was the lack of passion showed today, their players were up for it and knew how to get their fans bouncing, our lumbered around after the subs were made and just looked lost.

We just don’t have enough players who are actually comfortable on the ball, Feeney, Anderson and Kenneh all leak possession and treat the football like a hot potato, and the likes of Sobowale and Mata struggle to bring it under control and progress attacks.
Until that changes we will always be ponderous, laboured and clueless in possession, and clearly that won’t change in one month long transfer window.

How I wish we still had a Wayne Clarke type of player If any loose ball in the box dropped his way, it was swiftly despatched into the onion bag. None of this snatching, shinning and slicing that we have to endure now.

Sabowale was in headless chicken mode, he beats one, then another but fails to look up for a team mate to pass to and then end up in a bling alley. Football is a team game which is easy on the eye if played sensibly.

I am not the current set ups biggest fan but I thought the players put in a good shift today The teams looked reasonably similar in quality and they got the break for their goal we didn't though Benning deserved one for a fine effort The old adage that goals win games was never more true and we do not score anywhere near enough. We need forwards in the building very soon !

According to our coach we dominated the game! No 38 Elliot Lee I think absolutely ran the midfield. We were ok for the first 15mins. Second half really poor, aimless long ball, Feeney and Anderson being regular culprits, no ball retention or creativity. We’ve been saying the same and witnessing all season. Had we snatched a draw or indeed won it would hardly have been merited. Goal scorers are needed but so is a change to how we wish to play the game. Maybe our current coach doesn’t have the skills or resources to achieve it. Perhaps our Director of Football could do the next post match interview?

We missed loads of chances and they put one of their only two away thanks to a fortunate ricochet. There are many (most of this season) performances I can point to as being bad, boring or inept but that isn’t true of today. We really did have opportunities today and also spent a lot of the game on top. If Sobowale is a ‘headless chicken’ I’d like to see more of it, it’s a relief to have someone unpredictable and attacking after all of the turgid crap of this season and the 2-3 that precede it. Taylor’s in game management was absolutely shocking but overall his team played well and Wrexham did us in the same way we went to Wycombe, did absolutely sod all and won. I think Derby day is getting to people and this is coming from someone who has moaned & moaned & moaned about our style of play even when we win. I’m encouraged. Upset but encouraged. COYB.

I didn’t fancy this fixture at all, but really enjoyed it as a cup tie until the substitutions and all the glue came apart. I like the rawness of Sobowale and Kennah, combined with the class of Bennett. Benning was so unlucky with that shot - and I’d have kept him on. But it’s the goals or lack of, which have plagued us all season that ultimately cost us. I couldn’t fault the commitment, we looked up for it. So disappointing.

Agree with you there as well, Sobowale and Benning are wildcard players, they are good to have in the squad and have been recently used much further forward. Yes Benning was very unlucky and I didn't understand why he was taken off after hitting the bar, it should have been Perry. Kennah is developing into a good defensive midfielder as well, reminds me of a younger Anthony Grant.

I thought Kenneh was class, was into them constantly.
We created a lot of chances but we'd still be ****ing about now trying to score, woeful finishing.

Aside from when he lumbered out to o Connor then watched him run past as he pinged the deflected effort for the winner. He's utterly class at winning the ball for about an hour. Other than that he offers absolutely nothing at this standard.

Whilst I agree with a lot of the sentiments of the opening post overall and in the long run, we had more than enough chances to beat Wrexham today. That defeat hurts more than any in recent memory but to jump ship off the back of that isn’t great - the players will need all the support they can get if we are to stay up this season
The main worrying thing for me was the performance in the final third of the game, it was pretty dire and overall clueless, and it’s a massive trend this season that if we go 1-0 down, it’s usually game over. But my god Perry came agonisingly close twice
I’ve “lost my head” after witnessing Blackpool away and a few other games this season - today isn’t one of them. We deserved more than we got

Kenneh has been superb at breaking the play up all season is. Problem is he’s clueless once he gets it, and inevitably ends up gifting it straight back to the opposition most times It’s been happening all season
