I would never call you a cock, because name calling is against the rules [/div][/quote] Only for some though. Others can act with impunity. One had hoped that that New Year thread that some made a big issue of would have had some sort of impact. Well that aged well. Anyway, who knows if the talk of Swedes arriving bearing riches has any foundation in truth or otherwise. All I know is that unless the current owner of the club departs the scene quickly, that the club may find itself in a downward spiral that will be a much greater challenge to reverse than it was last time around.

Funnily enough I had some issues with FB market place too. I was buying something and agreed a price with the seller, I thought we were all good to go but they insisted they would like access to this item in the future, despite me owning it. I told them that this wasn't acceptable so they told me they weren't willing to sell to me. I'm now looking to purchase the item from someone else. my little story was true , is yours ? Here's a myth busted ( re new owners want the chairman out of the way ) it's totally incorrect here's the truth every potential new owner that has ever tried to buy the club have all asked if the chairman can remain for x amount of time for continuity and to pass on his experience to help the new owners learn the ropes just edited this as I didn't really make it clear earlier , in fact I made it muddy, hope its clear now

My sources tell me the chairman is the issue in trying to stick around permanently, but appreciate we all get fed different snippets.

But it's a very different thing from Roland wanting to stay involved permanently and thats a condition of a sale. Of course we don't know if that is true and in the absence of anything from the club or the Star doing any actual investigative journalism then we are left to speculate and go by rumours we hear

Moving goal posts comes to mind!! maybe he could just get a season ticket in block 19, or better still in the sov suite and join in the scramble for a biscuit at half time, this is my own view but I mean if I'd owned and lived the club for 3 decades and wanted to sell on good terms I'd like a nice little spot somewhere on a match day, wouldn't you ? maybe in the stand thats named after me

But to still be involved in deciding what happens? Take the nice comfy seat and move on. Don't expect boardroom or to still be asking the stars if we should do a 350k stadium naming deal.

The Pryce-Griffiths stand has been renamed at Wrexham.

Yes I saw that myself. Always good to hear more about the goings on at your club from a chairman of another football club! As he says 'a while back' it would be interesting to know how far back and whether this was the the most recent bid or have there been more since then. I've had a few interactions with Andy on Twitter about us/Roland and he speaks highly of him

With respect, How the hell would Andyh be qualified to know if RW was a good owner or otherwise, he probably speaks to him twice a year whenever we are in the same division. There will be countless chairmen of other clubs who would give an an alternative view.
RW has been chairman of this club since 1996, in that time we have had 18 managers. That’s damning.

On balance he heard from Roland. Hardly likely to tell him he had a great offer and turned it down.
My point, the rumours that come from prospective buyers are we made a great offer and Roland wouldn't accept, from the club the offer was less than derisory.
Id be interested in the context Andy Holt decided to make the statement? Sounds like an answer to someone’s question.
