Nobody should face abuse, says the man who just called those disagreeing with him "useful idiots". Ask for a book on self awareness next Christmas. And Happy New Year to you too! Off topic, mods? "Please sir, the nasty man made me look silly again!"

Time to recall Bloxham back from his loan spell?

I'm sorry but if MT persists with 3-5-2 or is forced to, then his managerial career is over. It clearly isn't working with the players he has at his disposal.
He tells us they recruited for the formation but half the squad is missing and it was hardly a raging success when more players were available.
Ditch it before it is too late - drop one of the cental defenders and beef up the midfield and forward line in the transfer window so we can retain more possession and attack in greater numbers.

If it wasn't for Moore we'd be playing 4-2-3-1, Taylors preferred formation.

Time to recall Bloxham back from his loan spell? Very likely given the injury to Udoh.

You'd assume that Bloxham will get recalled and you wonder whether we may do the same with O'Brien. We have 2 fit strikers and based on Taylor's recent comments, you'd assume he doesn't highly rate either of them

The problem with that is whether O’Brien actually wants to play for us? It’s no good getting him back if he doesn’t want to be here.

Jesus wept. There is no way that can all be attributed to injuries. Poor recruitment but above all the way we are set up to play - parking the bus and the straitjacket of 3-5-2 (and that applies to last season as well) - are fundamental factors.

Those stats... But I think for those who are watching a fair chunk of the games this season, they're hardly a surprise. What we are now seeing (the standard of play, the performances) isn't a surprise. Again, I can understand the "hang on in there, they should be given more time, avoid relegation and lets see what they can do next season" argument (just, at the minute anyhow) but I couldn't take anyone comparing and defending the football we are now seeing to what we have seen in recent seasons seriously. As its awful and its been poor from the off and there isn't any indication as yet that it is set to improve. Those stats say it all. Just got to hope the transfer window can turn things around. Just to add, I'm thinking back to a post I posted here earlier in the season regarding Moore's, Taylor's, Bignot's experience and success at this level. I can't be arsed to find it but I recall it wasn't a great deal of either. So we might well look out of our depth because we might well be...

Should be printed off and placed on RW & MMs desks. Make no mistake, this is all on RW!

It's high time that MM was wheeled out for another pathetic scripted interview.

He's presided over making Cheltenham one of the worst sides you've ever seen, yet he's actually managed to make us worse! All under the watchful eye of the great RW, another wonderful appointment.

All those stats are horrendous but the expected goals one really takes the p**s. All season we’ve been told we just need to finish our chances better, or get some new strikers when this shows how that’s only half the problem, with the other half being that we create next to nothing. We’ve been bad pretty much all season but these last two away games have hit new depths, we genuinely won’t score 30 goals this season and it’ll be etched in the Salop history books as a low point we’ll all remember.

The 5-3-2 doesn't work,reducing the size of the pitch doesn't work,the D.O.F,and backroom staff don't work.......when will someone realise,that we're in freefall,but the trouble is, you'll have a job shifting that lot now......a revolt is coming,whether it be Fleetwood or wrexsham,I just don't know🤷🤷🤦🤦☹️

You might 'blow away' a team playing 4-3-3,or 4-4-2......you won't do it playing this ultra defensive boring s**t....it just doesn't work...I know, because I've been watching it,for the last 4/5 years!!!!🤦🤦☹️

The “blow a team away” was a ridiculous quote.
They thing that has really puzzled me was him banging on about “information” pre season. Found a few quotes and would love to find out what what he’s trying to do and what all this information was.
He said:
“We're testing the players every day - physically, mentally and technically. There's a lot of information going into them, (we) don't expect it all to stick, but where we're fortunate is that we have another four and a half weeks and a period of time to make sure the players understand their roles and responsibilities”
“The players have been brilliant. I’m trying to implement a style to make us better and more effective.”
"A lot of information is going into them. I want them to question the new things and the new ideas they're being given. I don't expect everything to stick”
“There's no point in us talking to them all the time. We need to make sure the information we're given the players stays in, because that's going to underpin our season."
What was all this information? What is the style? What are we trying to do on the pitch?
He can blame injuries but we have struggled to control games and play football all season. Last night we were the most direct I’ve seen us in years.

I'm not always one for the stats but there's no getting away from the fact that those stats are shocking, absolutely shocking.
We are getting close to scoring just one goal in every 2 games in all league games.
Away from home it's even more embarrassing, shameful really.
That is a dire statistic.

15 out of the 25 games we haven’t scored. In 7 games we’ve scored one goal, twice we’ve scored two goals in a game, and once we’ve scored 3 times. God it’s bleak.

It's fairly clear that our problems this season land on our attacking output.
MT has had half a season to drill some attacking patterns into the players. Across the games I've seen against Orient, Stevenage, Peterborough and Portsmouth, the attacking I've seen has been hit the ball long and get bodies forward. And this was almost exclusively in the Orient game.
Anybody could stick 5 at the back and say let's be hard to beat (I'm sure most of us have done it in Sunday league before). I really struggle to see where MT has imprinted anything other than an occasional press on this team.

Shipley the blame for the goal last night it seems. No s**t Sherlock as he's not a f ing defender... He should be nowhere near a defensive backline. With the current players we have available him and Perry should be playing as wide attacking midfielders. As our one decent striker is now injured play Bowman with Bayliss close behind him. Winchester and Kenneth in the middle with four defenders. Can't be any worse then the current dross we play.
