Can’t see Udoh wanting to stay beyond the summer. Needs to move somewhere where he can score some goals if he’s got aspirations of playing at a higher level. I suspect it's a January cash in and a hope Moore pulls something out the hat.

It’s an utterly incredible stat - sadly the worst style of football a Town team have ever played in my life. I fear another generation or two would say the same

Only exeter, Cheltenham and sheff utd have scored less in the entire 92. And they've all played at least 2 games fewer than town.
And are all on 13 goals I should add

This is the damning statistic when people say things like we’ve never played good football, or this season is no different to the past few. The goal threat is literally zero. Even amongst those 14 goals, there’s ones such as yesterday, Perry against Wycombe, Udoh against Vale that rely on luck/ one-off individual brilliance, so there really is no attacking game plan.

Quite - looks beneath the gas lighting and the football is far worse than anything served up under Steve or Ricketts It’s sad to see

Cheltenham will deffo have more possession than us on Tuesday.....that will be a fact.....I just hope we take the one or two chances we have during the game, because that's all we'll get,I'm afraid

I just hope we dont have a Christmas/New Year like last year. 3 games against poor teams at the bottom - and lose all 3 of them.

I’ve been reluctant to call for Taylor to go loudly on social media…I watched the inept performances against the top 2 and thought, give the guy a break, gulf in class but also budgets.
However, lose on Tuesday and offer the same non existent attacking threat and I will be on every platform possible saying sort it out Mr chairman/Mickey mouse.

Are we saying we would rather finish 20th playing attacking football? Or 12th playing terrible football?

Are we saying we would rather finish 20th playing attacking football? Or 12th playing terrible football? For me it’s not about attacking or defensive football as such, more about competent football. You can park the bus in every game but you still have to offer a goal threat and an actual plan of how to score a goal, and I just don’t think we have that, except for cross the fingers and pray. There was a brief ten minute period near the start of the second half where we got more stuck in, tried to get some bodies forward, nothing at all came from it but at least the intent was there. Sadly these times are too few and far between.

14 goals in 23 games is appalling. Hope we can put that right in the new year. 2 attacking midfielders and 2 strikers would be much appreciated in the January transfer window.

What if i said 15th then? For me, I would rather get relegated trying to play attacking football than finish 12th playing dross.

I'd take finishing 20th if I could see a plan evolving, a new style being implemented etc, but the plan is " do what Steve did and hope it works". Relegation is simply not acceptable under any circumstances after almost a decade in this division.

There's always one or two who don't renew or are upset, but I think the club needs to understand the gravity of the situation.
There are tonnes more people than usual thinking of packing it in. Whether that's age, circumstances or because they're just bored hopefully not the latter, but it seems that way unfortunately.
It would certainly be a bitter pill to swallow if they put the prices up AGAIN this year, might be the final straw for a few.

2023 as a whole hasn't been great.
Played 46 - won 17 - drawn 6 - lost 23. GF 29 GA 35.
But from March 1st it gets a whole alot worse.
Played 36 - won 10 - drawn 5 - lost 21. GF 25 GA 60.
We've been on a downward spiral for 9 months now.
January is vital.

Pretty much how I see it too. As I mentioned on the other thread there were several occasions yesterday where we won really good possession back high up the pitch in a great position to break and I'd have absolutely no problem with us setting up to concede possession and play that way if we actually had the attackers to pull it off, but we don't. When Posh won possession from us Jones, Mason-Clark, Poku and Randall were immediately on the move, finding space, dragging defenders out of position. When we won possession from them, Udoh and Bowman just didn't have a clue what to do.

Same goes for Bowman, and so far Mata too.
