Everton could be back in a mess very soon, their potential new owners 777 who have been putting money in are still not complying with the fit to run a club test yet, if they get blocked they will want their money back, Everton could go into admin, 777 will only get part of their money back, the new ground will be put on hold
ouch

And all the time the Premier League pursue these clubs. ( clubs that have complied fully with the investigation process and admitted liability in many cases) Manchester City sit back with a great big smile on their face, smoking a cigar deep in the knowledge that the Premier League are scared witless of them

It's pathetic.
Let's go after the (comparatively) little guys, while the bigger clubs seem to be facing no punishment.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Man City and Chelsea titles stripped in years to come

Everton have long spent beyond their means. how long before Newcastle are dragged into this and you make a massive u turn on financial fair play ? They are just £140m over in the last 2 seasons

They are just £140m over in the last 2 seasons We're trying to box clever, I'd imagine we'll see either Joelinton or Bruno sold, maybe even both. Joelinton has 18 months left and Bruno has interest in the £90+ region. We paid £12m for Tripps and has his peak years of 31-33, if we can recoup more I'd sell. Livramento has proven he's ready. The majority of our emerging talents are young. Livramento, Hall, Botman, Miley, Anderson, Gordon, Isak, Barnes etc all 24 or under. Exciting times with ambition and an engaged fanbase.

This situation is indicative of the state of modern Premier League football. It is now primarily a business, run for profit and prestige by mainly foreign investors.
On the field, decisions are micro-managed by VAR which not only disrupts the flow of play, but in many cases ultimately arrives at the wrong decision, or at least a decision contrary to the spirit in which the original rules were made.
Off the field, so-called financial fair play rules which are seemingly ignored by many, impose opaque regulations and sanctions on individual clubs either during, or at the end, or indeed at beginning of the season.
I fear that the day is not far distant, when all the key decisions on titles and relegations will be settled in courts of law, or club boardrooms, no longer on the field of play.
Welcome to the nightmare world of modern football.

Wonder if Premiership will go the way of Premier Rugby union with some of the big clubs like Wasps, Worcester and London Irish folding?

Anyone have a bet on Ivan Toney coming back from suspension, captaining the side, and scoring today? I just hope he didn't....

I looked at Toney Goal + yellow then toney + wood both 7/1, but didn't take them only had £5 to use so actually went for 3-3 66/1 , cashed at for £38 at 3-2 and then had a sweaty 25 mins hoping forest didn't score

interesting weekend
looks like Sheffield and Burnley might as well wave the white flag, they are both gone
luton looked doomed early on today but kind of gave a town v wigan type rally without getting anything but hard luck, I think they deserve to stay up which would be quite an achievement
big game for Everton & palace tomorrow
tight at the top too, its a long time since 3 sides have been neck and neck, I'd love to see arsenal come out of top

Quite funny

All depends on Everton winning some points back on their appeal and the result of second charge , to avoid relegation.
Nothing to do with what happens on the football pitch.

I never liked the Luton fans we encountered at the Meadow but I really like the spirit in which their team plays.
It’s also good to see Carlton Morris and Jordan Clark not looking out of place in the Premier League. A lot of people on this board can be pleased to see their judgement on Clark as being too good to be released justified.

You should have come face to face with their chavs the night they won Div 2 back in the 80s........ awful night for the Town fans down there and in Toddington afterwards. Hate to think what they would have been like had they not won. 😳

Everton are poor, but spare a thought for how bad they'll be when Branthwaite & Onana are sold.
At least they'll still have little arms keeping clean sheets 🥱
