I'm not sure whether I qualify as a "moaner" in your view, as I have expressed some criticism of the Club, over the last few months, but no way is it a "sad day" as you suggest; definitely an excellent result and well fought for- I shall enjoy the evening, with more to come, hopefully, as will all Town fans: those of us who may be critical sometimes are NOT "anti-Town" - the biggest moan I have is of those who, far too often, moan about those so-called moaners, and level unfair and unjustified accusations at them. Oh no, you the bait. it was going so well Yes, you are quite right - mea culpa! As soon as I posted it, I realised that the post to which I reacted was intended to stir, and nothing more! My apologies !

Are you on a cut with Proboards for every post on here? ππππ Far from it , apart from I had Β£3 on us to win 2-0 π I can't honestly remember the last home game that as entertaining and as tense as today , how the ref can add on 6 minutes from 45 and the almost 3 minutes from 6 was nerve wracking , I honestly thought they were going to snatch a goal , I also can't remember a game where every player deserved a standing ovation , fantastic day grinning like a Cheshire Cat

Really good all around team performance but for me Marosi just shaded it as MOM with two or three crucial saves. No probs this season if we continue to play like that.

A great performsnce. Marosi, Bayliss, Dunkley, Flanno...the list goes on. The only downside was the pen miss but it should never have been given. Horrible cheating from Mata. We don't need or want that at our club.

We don't need or want that at our club. Bit far calling it cheating, he is desperate for a goal so I doubt he would have dived without any contact. It looks like he was clipped which made him kick his own leg before going down. The delay in him going down made it look like he dived. The lad that clipped him did not complain but everyone else did. I don't think it was a pen but I don't think it was cheating either.

Lovely cross from Perry for the goal. The more we can get him in the last third the better.

A thoroughly entertaining game of football, itβs good to see what this team are capable of. The build up play for the βBaylissβ goal was excellent.

Well what a turn around in performance, great team display and itβs difficult to single out anyone in particular but Marco kept us in it no doubt and gave us something to build on.
If we play like that most of the time it could be interesting come March time.
Well done Town thoroughly enjoyed my day.

I am NOT an anti-Town fan, but predict Shrewsbury Town 0-1 Derby County. I was jumping around the lounge screaming goal when we scored. Just because I thought we would lose does not make me anti Town.

Well done MT and the lads for the best performance and result of the season. We played so well it is impossible to nominate a MOTM but I was most pleased by the performance of Sraha who was a revelation with his breaks down the wing and his crossing in the second half. Very nice to see a visiting keeper so busy and also for a large crowd to view such a positive step forward in the season.

If we play like that most of the time it could be interesting come March time. Despite our awful performances and not scoring a goal in September we are just 2 extra wins away from 3/4th place. Play like that more often who knows where we will be come spring.

Play like that more often who knows where we will be come spring. Important not to get carried away but I said a few weeks back a couple of decent results and the doom and gloom would be gone. September was awful, last 3 games have been very good. We could easily get spanked over the next 2 games and people would be panicking calling for MT head again. One thing is for sure is that this squad and management structure has potential. Fans just need to be realistic in there expectations. I predict a similar finish to last season which I think most would have taken at the start of the season.

Now itβs settled a bit, how good were Sraha, Marosi and Perry today. Everyone played well but those 3 were unbelievable, how good was Perry in midfield, everywhere all game, superb. Sraha was like Grandison attacking second half, Marosiβs shot stopping was insane for this level

So this myth that we up our game against the "bigger" clubs. It is a myth, isn't it?

So this myth that we up our game against the "bigger" clubs. It is a myth, isn't it? TBF we played well in spells during the games in September but it seems like now the fitness is finally improving to the point where we can sustain it. I said elsewhere that our style suits playing against teams that will be more attacking as it gives us more space. I think our main quality yesterday was our pressing which is something that has changed in recent weeks. We hunted in packs and regularly won the ball in midfield with aggressive pressing. Great stuff and that is the kind of tactic that will overturn the opposition having more quality than us.

I enjoyed that, not something I've said too regularly recently.
We started how I wanted us to start, with some intent and not just prepared to sit deep and let them have the ball. Lots of very good performances, Marosi made some important saves (I'd like to see that one at the end again), Sraha looks a real find, Flanagan was back to his best and was also good to see Bayliss more influential. When he's on form, it makes a real difference to the team.
Only negative was the penalty incident, I've seen it from a few different angles and it looks an embarrassing dive.

My Derby supporting mate in the away end said it looked a stonewall, and he was right in front. Thats seeing it in real time. Watching it back its an awful dive.

Hasnβt he clipped his own heels? Or am I being kind? Itβs not a penalty, but not sure he dived?
Either way, itβs yet another shocking call from a referee at this level, itβs beyond a joke

Looks to me like he tripped over his own feet rather than intentionally diving.

So this myth that we up our game against the "bigger" clubs. It is a myth, isn't it? To be honest going off this season theyβre a mid-table club and we should be aiming to dispatch any mid-table team at home. Comparing them of last season to this season they seem to have really regressed in quality. Takes nothing away from the win though.
