Nice to see a town side go at a perceived "big team". Big win, nice clean sheet.
Hopefully it gives them confidence to go at anyone.

Elsewhere I see whipping boys Burton very much on the up, coming from behind to beat Bristol Rovers 4-1.
Ryan Woods picked up a straight red in this game.

Thatโs more like it . Hopefully gives us the confidence to do well . A very good result against a team looking at promotion with some experienced players in their ranks . Should have added to our one goal but canโt have everything ., I suppose Derby are disappointed that they came up against Marko in superb form . Tough . A very good start to the week end ๐

Mata wanted to take it and you could see him asking Bayliss but Bayliss pulled rank and skied it! ๐ They seemed to have quite the dispute and Mata looked quite unimpressed. Doesn't fit right that you don't have an assigned taker before kick off to be honest. Shouldn't have to be fought out in the moment!

In the disappointing start to the season all Iโve wanted to see is a sign of what the plan is, what this team is capable of and today it finally arrived. Non-stop running, 100% commitment and attack minded. The quality still needs a bit of work but canโt fault at all what theyโve just served up.
Really good game of football that couldโve finished any score from 3-0 to Derby to 3-0 to us, both keepers were their respective teamโs best players. On balance I think we were worthy winners.
Credit to Bayliss, I thought heโd shrink after that woeful penalty but it seemed to spur him on and that second half was I think as good as weโve seen him since he signed.
Only question of the head coach today, where the hell has Sraha been for the first two months? Looks quality, really taken the opportunity.
That last minute winner against Northampton felt at the time like it could be a pivotal moment in the season for us, and itโs looking that way now. 7 points from 3 games, great work Salop.

One of the most enjoyable town games I have ever watched. Every single player has given everything to the cause today. Special mention for Marosi with some decent saves.
Too many players to praise.
MT has got this team playing decent football and getting points. What a difference a few weeks can make!!

Wow where do you even start with that? Superb game packed with chances at both ends throughout
Afternoon got off to a positive start, mainly there were some fans about pre match, so it actually felt like a game was on compared to previous awful home games. The burger van was back, another positive
Town started really well, then Derby had 2 massive chances where Marosi made world class saves. Town had some good half chances, it was never a penalty but he it terribly. Mata then missing a 1 on 1, for me a level game was fair but couldโve been 2-2
Second half the carnage stepped up a gear. More world class saves from both keepers. Town worked unbelievably hard and played some superb, quick football. I think we deserved the win but that couldโve ended 4-4!
I really hope we can build from today, busy home ends, entertaining football, great atmosphere 2nd half. The whole match day experience was lightyears from other home games this season
One of the most entertaining games at the Meadow in a long time
Well down Taylor and the lads - superb

Probably the most enjoyable match of the season. Really good battle, town seemed to go for it which makes such a difference. Can't really fault any players. All had a role to play, but I thought the back 3 were brilliant. Especially as only one of them was seen as part of the chosen 3 only a few weeks ago. I also particularly I liked the amount of width that was used as that hasn't always happened. Makes such a difference. Less said about the penalty but I'd be fairly annoyed if that was given against me, so maybe it's fair anyway.
Town finally seem to be finding a little bit of form. After such a long spell without a goal, it's 3 on the bounce now and 7 points from it.
Some tough games coming up but if they can play like that some more then may pick up some more points.

7 points from 9, hopefully gives us a bit of momentum going into some tricky games on paper.

Credit to Taylor and the squad, after that dodgy run through September without scoring it felt like we had the potential to go into freefall and really struggle. To turn it around since then is a great effort, and with Shipley and Thorpe to come back soon the squad should look deeper and give us a few more options. Going up against relatively big teams like Derby is what I love about League One and would miss if we went down, and it's great when we get hard-fought wins like today.
Two tricky away games to come this week, but great that this mini-run's given us a good buffer to the bottom four so even if we don't get anything from them it shouldn't matter.

8000 people there to witness a quality game of football is really positive!
I also thought the ref was very good, let some bookable offenses go but he did it for both sides so I don't mind.

We actually look to be improving, and having some sort of identity and plan.
Mata need to score for his confidence or drop him. He had two opportunities to push himself to score from headers second half and didn't take either of them. Very frustrated by him. Bowman comes on and Udoh looks a far better player. Says a lot for me.
Sraha needs to keep the place. Put Feeny in for TF when he's fit. Still a walking yellow card.
Hopefully our 25 isnt too badly hurt. Mal Benning is still not good enough.
So yeah. I'm happy and possibly we've turned a corner. Still would add a Midfielder for some positive direction but 7 from 9 feels like progress. 15 and 5 off playoffs.

We need to beleive in ourselves these next 2 away games.
Barnsley, right up in 3rd but won just 2 more games than us so far. 2 more wins for us and that's where we could be. Sam Cosgrove wont be scoring against us anyway, came on with 13 mins to go but got sent off for 2 bookables in 2 mins (a foul and dissent).
Wigan, won the same as we have and lost the same as we have. Without the points deduction would be 1 point behind us (played 1 game less).

a much better performance from town ,all the players worked hard, some quality saves by marosi kept town in the game .Sraha did some nice link up play with some good crosses, dreadful penalty from Baylis but all credit for not dropping his head down i was pleased he scored . we created a number of chances but lack of quality finishing in front of goal is frustrating. i thought town deserved the win. but two wins and a draw makes a big difference .
sitting back with 30 minutes left in the game just invites pressure and is a gamble . well done town

Sraha needs to keep the place. Put Feeny in for TF when he's fit. Flanagan was absolutely brilliant, sod the yellow card. They all were. That was an excellent game of football, two teams going at it. Keepers both in seriously good form, chances missed, bodies on the line. Really, really good. The game deserved more than one goal. It could have been any score and Derby will also feel they had enough play and chances to get points out of that. However I genuinely think, even trying to put aside my bias, that we absolutely deserved to win it. Credit to Taylor, you cannot argue that today we both played more โfootballโ and that we combined it with the hard work of last year too. Get in there Salop.

Taylor out Best game here since the Liverpool game fantastic performance from every player Sad day for the moaners , it will be dead on here tonight ๐๐ I'm not sure whether I qualify as a "moaner" in your view, as I have expressed some criticism of the Club, over the last few months, but no way is it a "sad day" as you suggest; definitely an excellent result and well fought for- I shall enjoy the evening, with more to come, hopefully, as will all Town fans: those of us who may be critical sometimes are NOT "anti-Town" - the biggest moan I have is of those who, far too often, moan about those so-called moaners, and level unfair and unjustified accusations at them.
