Short on posts tonight, guess most people are there. A decent effort tonight, the back five have been absolutely magnificent so far.

Good match, even better point. Fine effort town, well done. Matched them, had chances, defended like lions.

Only 3 Town subs. Is SC sending a message to the Chairman? Six subs but four are teenagers. The difference in depth of the respective benches is embarrassing though. We need at least four more players. We'll be lucky if we get two though. Can only register 3 more. Not sure they will use them all though. Definitely do expect 1 or 2 loans to beef out the squad but if they are very late they may end up like Leshabela/Bondwell etc

Respect the point I guess. Poor from Town first half, pretty much just allowed Derby to dominate. Better second half.
It's looking like 17th again isn't it. This is the way.

A great 4 points out of 6 in two very different games.
We aren't no mugs this season, it's clicked early too.
Delighted with the takings personally!

Very good performance. Brilliant defensive display and the players deserve a lot of credit for the effort they put in.
If it wasn't for some poor finishing by udoh we would have got the 3 points.
I was surprised by how poor Derby were. They lacked pace and had little physical presence. They will need more than tidy passing to do well in this league.
5 points from the opening 4 games can be seen a decent starting block to push on from.

Defence certainly is looking good. Just not enough goals to make town a proper decent league one side at the moment. And lack of options off the bench is furthering that.

I've never really understood why he doesn't stick the youth team on the bench. Is it really better to have empty spaces?

I've never really understood why he doesn't stick the youth team on the bench. Is it really better to have empty spaces? He doesn't use what he has already. Don't expect Craig or Barlow to get any mins at all in the league. Caton very few and Bloxham isn't looking like he is going to get many at this point. Why bother?

Should we of had a penalty in the last minute I screen grabbed that and watched it back. Certainly had a big shout after a clear push without touching the ball but he went down very easily. Derby also had half a shout for a pen when Pyke tumbled with the attacker so probably influenced the refs decision.

That was a great performance and a really good game to watch.
Dacosta pulled out of position too much, but aside from that it was as good as it could have got. Had Udoh put that lob of the keeper away when Pyke put him through then that could have been a very unlikely three points (again).
Pyke played really well - turning players, closing down and the flick ons were a revelation. Leahy was all over the place and played a real captains game. Marosi pulled of a couple of really good saves.
SC didn't use a sub and I have to say that I agree with him - that is by far our best 11 at the moment.

SC didn't use a sub. But his choice was limited to Moore and 4 teenagers as far as outfield players were concerned.
The bench must surely be strengthened with 2/3 more players, otherwise we'll sooner or later find ourselves in real trouble if further injuries or suspensions occur.

A slightly challenging watch, with a toothless County side cancelled out by our excellent defending, but offering little going forward ourselves bar the odd moment.
I appreciate the squad's weak, but not sure I get the logic of making no subs at all. Would a fresh Bloxham, or even Caton, have done any worse than the tired efforts made in the last minute by both Pyke (forgot he's a striker whose primary job is to shoot) and Udoh (forgot he's a striker whose primary job is to not hit safe standing)? Who knows.

As far as League 1 0-0βs go, that was rather entertaining.
We gave Derby too much respect first half, solid enough though albeit they missed a point blank header and Marosi made 1 excellent save
Much better 2nd half, where we saw a bit more of the ball, and created a few good chances ourselves.
Superb work rate, discipline and application of a game plan. Cotterill was kicking every ball, and a good crowd stuck behind the lads all game, really positive and enjoyable atmosphere
We desperately lack some squad depth, and without 3 more players in, I feel it will limit us
Overall a positive point, well done to the lads, Steve and the fans efforts

Should we of had a penalty in the last minute No. Me and my group of 5 all gathered round the iplayer in Smithy's post-match (I got a Skeleton Key from Matt Williams pre-departure as a parting gift for my years of excellent posting, so usual rules about opening hours don't apply to me) and we were unanimous in our belief that it would have been a hilariously generous penalty to give, and was just reward for the attempt to look for a penalty at the expense of getting a shot away. In fairness, Derby's attempt to con the referee was just as s**t. 0-0 on convincing penalty claims too.

Very lucky not to give Derby a penalty at the end, most refs would give that.
Cracking effort, you can see a game plan there, it's just that no set pieces or press traps worked tonight.

quite an entertaining game, perhaps seemed better with a full away following than it actually was, lots of corners but not many chances, Marosi as usual kept us in it with Derbys only 2 real chances, and Udoh could have won it in the 95th
da costa seemed more at ease in the 2nd half without the manager hounding him every second to go backwards, too much ball in the air again for us and yet on the floor we look good, fantastic pressing from us as a team effort, never seen anything like it from us, oh and the elephant in the room SUBSTITUES, this is going to catch up with us isn't it, we've been here before, at least he's worked out Moore is less ;-)

Derby had the bulk of the possession in the first half, they looked good on the ball two good saves from our kepper, i expected them to have more of a threat in the final third. ironically town had the best chances, leahy , nurse and udoh he really should have done better with his extra time chance. Town kept there shape and stiffled Derby a much better second half by town but the midfield continue to look disjointed, our distribution was poor far to many moves broke down due to a poor pass.a plesant suprise to get a point , i lost count how many Derby subs came on .Leahy was clearly struggling for the last ten minutes and it is worrying how threadbare the subs bench looks.the fan behind me said Bowman has a back injury so who knows how long he will be out .
