Yep - called this out already on another thread.
Should be capped at £10 which I think is perfectly reasonable.
You'd think given the Qatar cock up they might have the self-awareness to be slightly more accommodating towards fans.

I expect we'll get the "it's only £2 what's the difference" but it's the principle really

Pre-season friendlies are usually such tedious affairs that I probably wouldn't go even if it was a nominal charge of a couple of quid.
£12 is obscene, and milking those loyal (or stupid) enough to attend anyway.

Both games for £20 would be a decent initiative.
I'm sure they've done similar in the past.
That said for a bit of market research I looked at what others were charging and saw Cambridge wanted £15 for their friendly against Norwich.

in case you haven't noticed everything has gone up Can you explain the logic of a friendly costing more than a competitive/meaningful cup game? Or cup Games considering I know your passion for the Pizza Cup.

Although it's strange to charge an extra couple of quid, the friendlies are against supposedly more attractive opposition.
And hopefully enough will be interested to see our new signings that it wint make much difference.

I think tickets have been normally a tenner for home friendlies (it's been that long since we've had one though), so I wonder whether the £2 increase is a sign of what is to come for the matchday pricing this season

in case you haven't noticed everything has gone up Telford have frozen their prices compared to last years friendly against us £10 adults, £8 concessions, £5 16-19 and U16s £1

No thanks

I’m guessing there’d be uproar if our match day prices increased 20% from £20 to £24, although unless I’ve missed it the club are still keeping their plans on match day prices to themselves.

Club signing better players on better money in the expectation of much better results. It's what I wanted and I'm happy to pay more in support of my club.

Yep when the increase is probably the first in 5 years so averaging 2% a year and inflation is < 10% What we spend on wages is dependant in turnover so if you want that to increase we have to increase ticket prices occasionally

It's fine if people are okay with it, that's their choice.
I just wonder how many £10 tickets they are losing for the sake of gaining £2 off those who still attend

There's also the cost of getting to these games as fuel prices continue to rise...

Agree with Valerioch. It shouldn’t be a question of “can we get away with charging an extra couple of quid because of the relatively attractive opposition?”. It should be a question of “these supporters spend a lot of money buying season tickets and following the team all over the country, let’s make sure we only charge em a tenner”.
That said, I don’t think a couple of extra quid for friendlies is a big deal, it’s just the principle.
