Also the only Irishman to be play in the CL to not be capped at senior level.
His cousin is Paul (British Lions and Ireland captain).
You can have those bits of pub trivia for free.

My cousin was a Director of Wrexham at the time of Pryce Griffiths. I haven't spoken to him for many years!

I've just got in I've had to steady myself and think of Bramall Lane on Tuesday Drink in hand on the front terrace One hand on the rail and looking out far and beyond. Dreaming of guaranteed exciting times It really has been like a dream come true for us. I pinch myself regularly. I compare it to a big Euromillions win or a substantial inheritence you were never aware of. I've been more than fortunate. 3 out of 3 if you include the club. A hat trick! Its difficult, nigh impossible, not to celebrate, right through to the small hours Every Saturday and Tuesday is like Christmas! We're got to lose sometime. Its the law of averages and common sense. City, the Scousers, Utd, they all eventually lose 7 straight wins. 23 unbeaten in all competitions... When we do lose.....or fooooooookin' draw you'll know about it before I do! Everyone wants to beat us. The English Football Association, the media everyone We're taking 4800 + to Sheffield on a Tuesday, a lot in hospitality as well. 500 miles and a near 14 hour executive minibus round trip We 1600 to Altrincham yesterday sold out Tuesday's a free hit. And we're being paid handsomely with FA prizemoney, TV rights etc Look at us now!

Quick question Noto, where exactly do you think Sheffield is? 🤔 "14 hour round trip". Maybe if you went by horse and cart (which is not out of the question I guess).
1600 to an away game in the neighbouring county is similarly not particularly impressive.

As a resident, though not a supporter, of Altrincham I’d like to correct the ‘unbeaten in 7 claim’.
Alty beat Wrexham in the FA Trophy on 13/1, 3 games ago.

Alty gave us 1,600 tickets and they were all sold. Sheff U have given just under 5,000 tickets and that is also now officially a sell out. Can’t do any more than sell all the tickets provided.

Is there some rule that prevents Clubs selling more than the minimum quota to away fans? I appreciate that allocating another stand to away supporters might cause police and stewarding problems, plus the home fans in that stand would have to be moved elsewhere for one game. But surely a Club with a ground the size of Sheffield's could manage that. After all, we were allocated 3 sides of Northwich's ground on New Year's day in our season in the Conference.

Different rules in the Fa cup to league…. FA cup 15% up to 9k…. Caveat safety police etc…. Bramall Lane 32,000 x15% = 4800 ish min… Don’t think there’s a rule to say that’s the max but why would they sell more? Bit like us giving Liverpool block 1 if we drew them….. only rules in the league are segregation and safety.
