A bit misleading. New floodlights are about to be installed (25ft higher than the current lights) and so they’re not replacing what are apparently very expensive bulbs. With regards to the pitch, it’s cost a small fortune over the last year. As covered in the doc, the club spent an initial 300k, then it had to be relaid. Was in good condition until Christmas, but in a poor state at the moment for whatever reason.

you can tell we've ran out of critical views on the pitch we are now having to resort to having a pop at the Feng Shui ;-) we dont like the lighting, the grass is the wrong colour and the decor isn't finished

Neither suitable for a football league club. No doubt that the team would do well in League 2 but poor as an actual football club. A long way to go to get to the standard of town both on and off the pitch. I did realise yesterday watching the match on tv just how much I take everything for granted at town. All credit to the new owners who are clearly very serious about their investment and the town but they would benefit from taking time out to pop down to the Montgomery Waters Meadow and spend a bit of time with Roland, our CEO and the ground staff and get some advice on how to run a football club for the long term. I am sure if Roland decided to turn his hand to being an all action movie hero he wouldnt be too proud to pop up to Wrexham and speak to Ryan Reynolds for some advice.

Give in 5 years Wrexham might be somewhere near our standard in all areas, but there's a lot to do. Ground, pitch, infrastructure, training facility, floodlights, technology, playing squad etc. It'll cost a small fortune.

Not sure how long it will last, but you have to give Rexham credit - there is certainly a buzz around the place and that was a cracking game for the TV which will only add to their media momentum.
Good luck to them - can see them going up back to back and stalling in League 1 where it gets a bit tougher as Reynauld's money will not be enough. Still - will be a cracking couple of games for us in 24/5 if they do it.

Nice demoralising equaliser there, and a replay to slog through now. Good work from the Blades! Wrexham's 2 central defenders having to go off injured might put a dent in their progress too.

I think Wrexham might surprise the Blades in the replay.

We coped pretty well without them, but will be a loss if (a) the injuries are long-term and (b) we don’t replace them. Can’t do much about (a) but we can certainly affect (b).

Of all the lovely places the Yanks could go to in Wales and they end up in Wrexham. 🙄 Still I guess it could be Rhyl instead.

We delighted with a possible home draw against Spurs in the next round.
We're in for a big payday at Sheffield United as well. Bigger than we hoped for. It could be huge. United fans predicting 27,28 or 29 thousand. And we'll be on telly as well. Ding dong!

Chirk has and always will be a red wall majority for us There's been quite a few who've done porridge over the years whilst following the town. The club is in their blood.
We're expecting a striker in very soon. Last week the jungle drums were beating of backup for Mullin and Palmer from MK Dons
